I haven't gotten to this yet since I got home from work really late last night, but noone else watched the 2 Hour Burn Notice finale? I know it was Thursday, but there was hardly anything in 1st run last night.

I watched it live. Thought they were both really great episodes. Since some people haven't watched it, I'll keep it sort of vague. Loved the return of certain characters and it had a lot of genuinely suspenseful moments. Lots of great action too. Really moved the story along, the ending sort of surprised me insofar as where they'll go with it next season.

Agree with kstublen. Wonder where they're going with it next season after that ending. Loved the 2 episodes.

I'm guessing next season is finally going to be where Michael makes the decision on if he really wants to go back to the Agency or if the life he's now made is more fulfilling now that the "burned" part of his life seems to be over.

Still need to find out why he was burned in the first place (was it to uncover Vaughn?) and there's still the issue of getting Jesse back in. Really good final two episodes with the return of important characters. Next season should be interesting since we see who John Mahoney answers to and if he'll return next season.
I had guessed at some point they'd have to take him out of Miami.

There sure was a long time between Michael getting burned and them trying to get him to join their team.

Really liked it, esp. the very end, but thought it was just a little too "A-Team," with the hail of automatic gunfire and both Michael and Fiona run through it without so much as a nick.

Solid way to end the most un-even season of the show thus far.

As in, he is a burnt spy coming in from the cold.

That was explained in the early seasons. They burn spies, then let them twist for a while without money, cash, friends, etc. so they become desperate and jump at the chance to work with any organization offering a shadow of their former spy work.

They leave him without money and cash?
Michael has money, and he has friends. That premise was undercut from the beginning. And they certainly knew it because they monitored him and knew everything else. The only reason he was willing to work with the shadow org is because he believed they could resolve his burned status. They had that carrot to dangle from day 1. Not to mention there are so many shady characters in the world that can do what Michael does that it wouldn't even be worth the time, trouble and expense trying to force someone who doesn't want to do it.
That said... it's a TV show.

He doesn't have money or credit or job history. All his accounts have been frozen. They tell you that in the first 15 seconds of every episode. That's why he takes the client of the week. Anything he has is from the few clients he accepts payment from.

Are we seriously having this discussion? I know what the episode intro says, and I know even 2 seconds of thought undercuts it. Is Sam also broke? Is Fiona also broke? Is his mother? Michael is not broke in any real definition of the word as he could get whatever money he needs to do whatever he needs to do. He was broke when he woke up after being burned, but that's it. Since then, he hasn't been broke and he hasn't been stuck in Miami.

i liked it. it think they should've left it hanging with michael and fi inside that little building as the finale. then picked up w/ sam coming to rescue the beginning of next season. wondering if jesse is gone. seems like his value on the show is nothing, but they'll probably find a way to help him. it would be kind of cool if this show totally changed direction and michael became a spy again and had jesse/sam/fi as his team doing jobs all over the world.

Wow! Two fantastic episodes that finally moved things along quite a bit.
Wasn't a fan of all the gun toting goons that couldn't hit a broad side of a barn, especially the sniper. Outside of that, I liked everything else about it. Looking forward to seeing where things go with Michael back "in."

My question with the finale and the McGuffin of the list/thumb-drive was why not just upload it to the internet and/or email it to a bunch of people immediately? If it's on a drive like that it can exist on the web just fine, and they wouldn't have needed to be in such trouble.

They said that it was "encrypted" in such a way that they couldn't make copies, yet somehow they could read the data just fine from the thumbdrive. Although that still doesn't answer the question of why didn't they manually write down the data since it was so important to them.

There could have been have some great crossover with real life by having Michael contact Julian Assange and WikiLeaks.
