This goes on sale about once a year right? Is this the lowest it's been during these annual sales? I really shouldn't buy this after all the money I've spent at Amazon but I've wanted this for quite a long time.

Tough call. I have every season but most of the cases are all beat up and a lot of my discs are scratched, in the wrong cases, etc. This is a sweet deal and I handled the set at COSTCO before Thanksgiving. I took a picture of the price there but do not remember how much they had it going for. Hmm, to pull the trigger or not? It would be nice to have them all in one nice case and if I need a place for it I can always put the set on the coffee table book that turns into a coffee table....

For anyone wondering, this is a VERY nice set with top notch packaging, the multi disc holders work perfectly. All TV series sets over 8 seasons or so should learn from this Seinfeld set, it is perfect. I'd buy this set in a second if I did not win this set off Ebay last month.

It went for $99.99 in an Amazon DOTD back on March 5, 2009, so this $84.99 is a damn good deal. This set also comes with a coffee table book - a very nice one - and as somebody else said, the packaging is very nice.

Seinfeld was shot on film, NOT on video. And yes, it will be released on BD eventually. It is shown in HD on some TV stations today.

Bought a set. I've been wanting it for a while and I've seen the set in person and was quite impressed with the extras/packaging.

Well if that is the case I look forward to it, id have no trouble buying this series 3 or even 4 times if I had to.
I will say that Seinfeld in its current state from this set looks like garbage on my pretty high end home theater rig which is around a Pioneer Elite PRO151FD 60" plasma.
I have been watching this series on my 15" bedroom LCD, looks great on it.
I look forward to being able to watch this series on my high def set-up.

(and totally off topic but where in the heck is the rest of the Sopranos on BD?!?!!)

One thing about this concerns me. For the HD broadcasts of Seinfeld, they had to crop the picture in order to "squeeze" it into a 16:9 aspect ratio. This bugs me...basically the top and bottom of the original 4:3 picture are chopped off.

If they release it on blu-ray, I hope it's in 4:3 (like the Star Trek original series blu-ray is).
