IDW will bring the King of the Monsters back in an ongoing series, and for the first time, he'll be joined by other Toho kaiju!

Awesome! Nice to see the rest of the Toho cast stomping in with him! I guess Toho has changed their licensing options for their characters.

I've loved the movies for years, but I've always wondered how well something like this can translate to the comic medium? I can't help but think there'll be a lot of talking heads kind of stuff...

tks

I'm guessing the comic will focus on the unit (G Force) that is tasked to stop Godzilla & other monsters.

Check out IDW's 500 copy Godzilla promotion. Maybe your local comic shop will go for it.

Here's a look at the store-specific covers. 75 different comic shops took IDW up on this promotion. Plus, there's an image of the WonderCon exclusive cover.

I'm surprised a shop in Iowa didn't end up doing one (at least not that I noticed). Phil Hester is a native and is pretty good about traveling around the state for signings

I really like the WonderCon one. I may pick up a few of the funnier ones including the one with the guy running from the store with a short box under his arm. A true fan.

I sure hope it's kid-friendly, as I know an eight-year-old who is a massive Godzilla fan.
