Sold off my DVD years ago, and never got around to watching it in its entirety, as the PQ was pretty bad. This had better be a revelation.

Interesting. I picked up the DVD used a couple months back (when Hollywood Video was closing down), but maybe I'll end up selling that off and grab this instead...

Nice to see that, despite being essentially barebones, they didn't put this on a single layer disc. Screen captures seem to have the look of 70s film stock to me, which is good.
My most anticipated release of the young year. The proof of the PQ will be in the viewing. I agree that the DVD looks pretty awful with scratches, dirt, and compression artifacts. It's a very early MGM disc so I would think this BD can't help but be an improvement.
