Some pretty shitty prices going into Christmas Eve.

for the same old tired $3.49 DVD titles. I know Best Buy is moving away from selling DVD's and the cheapie titles as well, but can they at least mix it up a little?

they're just trying to get people to convert to blu ray.

Oh. A couple of years ago they had it the week before Christmas as I remember buying S1-S4 of Entourage.

I could be wrong, but I always remembered it being after Christmas, as I would have gift cards to burn. We should find out soon if they are offering another round this year, though.

They've always had it the week before as far as I know. Twice in the last 4 yrs I've picked up something in that sale and put it under my tree before Christmas.

It was definitely the week after in 2008. I used Christmas money to buy The Wire complete series.

Re: Best Buy Media Prices (December 19 - December 24, 2010)

When I got back from the San Diego Comic Con, I had a free afternoon and just went to see whatever was playing soonest. I went to see SALT w/ zero expectations and WOW--easily the best action movie this year or in recent memory. Totally worth a blind-buy for any action buffs. If you are into CIA-espionage, Cold War, old school non-CGI action, I'm tellin' ya pick this one up. I was blown away! (I don't work for a studio btw)

I didn't even notice that in the posts above. Thanks for pointing it out. I agree with how it has been so long (exclusing a few titles on Black Friday) since Best Buy (or even Fry's) has had $10 console games that I've almost stopped looking or my brain automatically sees a higher price price so I just ignore games. I'm a price stickler on games too... $10 or less for most games but on a few rare exceptions I'll stretch to $14.99. The few times I stretched to $19.99 I got burned, so I draw the line at $15 which makes it easy to ignore most games in most ads. I just saw Skate 3 PS3 at my Walmart for $15 and I said... I'll wait for $10 or less.

That said, which is the better version of Lost Planet 2? PS3 or Xbox 360? I guess I need to read the reviews, but often reviews are too lazy to compare the PS3 vs. Xbox 360 versions, so finding which version is better is not easy (it's rare that both consoles are totally equal, such as with Pure). Also, I wonder if I'll need to get up early and order figuring they will sell out online fast and the small handful of copies each store has will probably be gone in the first hour.

I cant even remember the last time I saw a game for $10 at BB. I have to buy 2 now as my buddy wants in, which is good so I can tear through it with him. And PS3 is always the way to go!

Has Amazon matched the HBO 50% off sale in the past?
