The Good Guys -- Season/Series Finale -- "Partners" -- 12/10/10
Synopsis:
Spoiler:
Episode 20 of 20
This is probably the Series Finale, unless a miracle happens. Personally, I'd love if the show made the move to USA, but I doubt that'll happen. It's been a great 20 episodes though.

DJariya, figured you must've gotten busy and weren't able to start the thread so I just went ahead and did it. I just used your format, etc. Hope you don't mind.

That's cool. Unfortunately, this is IMO 100% the series finale.
I think Matt Nix is probably going to focus his attention now on develping the next 2 seasons of Burn Notice since USA ordered 2 more seasons several months ago.

Yeah, I'm sure this is the series finale too. But since FOX hasn't officially canceled it yet, I figured I'd list it as one or the other.

Again, I think it's going to be canceled, but I'm just reflecting the state of the show right now, which is that no additional episodes have been ordered, but it hasn't officially been canceled.
EDIT: The promos I saw yesterday on FOX called it "The Good Guys Season Finale," but the promos tonight referred to it simply as "The Good Guys Finale," which seems to suggest it being the Series Finale, but still sort of weird to change the promos and not refer to it as one or the other.

On the one hand, I liked the ending a few weeks back where they had the barbeque with everyone there; that felt like a great series wrap-up. But, on the other hand, I actually really like the type of ending where they just sort of drive off to keep fighting crime. That seems pretty fitting for Jack and Dan.
Great that we got to see everyone in the finale. I was worried when Dan was at the bar and Julius didn't hand him the beer that we wouldn't get to see Julius in the last episode, which would have been a major bummer. I also appreciated them showing us the "Savage & Stark" movie. You knew it was going to be corny, but the close-ups for the eyes back-and-forth was just great. I felt bad for Dan and Frank, but I figured the "premiere" was really just to laugh at old movies. I liked where they went with it though. The Samantha love interest probably would have been developed later on if it came back for a second season. Personally, I think Jack and Samantha seem more compatible than Jack and Liz.
...and Dan jumping through a window to chase after someone who ran out on a $6.00 lunch bill was a perfect start to the episode.
There were a lot of funny lines tonight...
Dan: "I'm just glad this DNA stuff wasn't around in the '70s. I was leavin' fluids around everywhere."
Dan: "If there's one thing I know about Jack, it's that he is desperately, pathetically, and unhealthily in love with you."
Ruiz: "And Frank. Congratulations, you now hold the record for most busts by a non-cop."
And I am really going to miss everyone making fun of Hodges...
Frank: "You stink of mediocrity! Which is worse!"
Dan: "Hodges, you're a nerd. Tell me where the CSI crime lab is."
Hodges: "It's downstairs. You didn't know that?"
Dan:"No, I like women."
The unnecessary car jump there at the end was a nice send off as well. I liked the exchange between Jack and Dan as well, sort of describes the show, especially Dan saying, "Maybe there's no room for guys like us."

kstublen pretty much said it all. I'm gonna miss the hell out of this show, but it's good to know Dan Stark will still be out there bustin' punks.

Not an official cancellation, but the head of the Dallas Film Commission was told by someone at FOX that the show won't be back.
Colin Hanks said on Twitter that noone has told him the show is dead yet. But, I think the stars always get told last.

16 posts and no mentuion of the real star of this show? Jenny Wade's cleavage. For shame.
Surely someone must have some caps?
I am going to miss this show if this is indeed the series finale.

Really too bad, this, along with Terriers, was one of my favorite shows this past year.

I loved the show and will get the season dvd. The worse thing about it, besides that intro, was that it was based in dallas

I was holding on to my unwatched episodes b/c I didn't want the show to end, but I finally finished this today. Great ending in so many ways (except for Chris Klein who was just horrible!).
I'm disappointed this show never caught on, but if they brought it back they'd probably add some new female boss character who would interfere with everything that Jack and Dan were trying to do and undermine just about everything that made the show good in the first place.
If they release this on DVD, it has to have the music, right? They wouldn't put all that classic rock in the show and not secure the video rights.

Same here - watched the last 2 eps last night. So glad they finally showed some of the Savage & Stark Tele-movie.
Well, again, I'm down to zero FOX shows I could give a damn about after Good Guys cancellation. What a worthless network.

I watched both of these without realizing they were the last two! Oh well. Guess I can delete the season pass now.

So while The Good Guys is still canceled, FOX has at least seen fit to keep the show on air in the form of repeats. Didn't see that coming really. I doubt it will do anything for the show being brought back or moving to a different network, but interesting development nonetheless. For anyone that missed it, you could probably find the first few episodes on Hulu and DVR the rest of the 11:00 showings.
TheFutonCritic.com
Repeats of "The Good Guys" will assume the network's Saturday, 11:00/10:00c slot - currently occupied by "Fringe" encores - beginning January 1. As previously reported, "The Good Guys" wraps its freshman run on Friday, December 10 at 9:00/8:00c.
