Greatest American Hero-Complete Series-$12.49
Amazon is selling the complete Greatest American Hero series for $12.49.
Keep in mind, this is NOT the set with the cape and instruction book. But a good price, nonetheless...

44 Episodes! I haven't seen this show in since I was in single digits. I loved Connie Selleca & Robert Culp is is one of my all-time favorite character actors. I'm all in on this one--too good to pass up. Thanks for the heads up SESSIONER!

Re: Greatest American Hero-Complete Series-$12.49
It should be noted that this is a Mill Creek release, so the video quality has been compressed in order to fit more episodes per disc. While I haven't seen how this set is packaged, many Mill Creek releases feature the discs in CD envelopes inside the Amaray case, rather than housed in hubs. Also, I believe it may be missing the back-door pilot for The Greatest American Heroine, and a few of the special features from the previous Anchor Bay releases.
With that in mind, it is still a really great price for the series, just keep in mind what you are purchasing if the above points matter to you.

You're welcome, everyone, and thanks for the heads up, MrSmearkase! Hopefully the compression won't be noticeable to a casual viewer like me.
As with a lot of these old series I buy, I'll end up watching a a dozen or so episodes, then only see the box when I'm looking for something else.

I bought the first two seasons as a double pack at target earlier this year and I'm getting the feeling that Mill Creek is not going to release the third season separately. I know Anchor Bay has the old season three release but i want it a low price.
BTW: I have seen a few episodes and the quality on these Mill Creek DVDs are very good. Comparable to other 80s TV show DVD releases.

It's funny bc the outer packaging (the box & print) are very well done--then you open it and it looks like a bunch of Commodore 64 floppy discs from the 80's. A little disappointing but for the price I can't complain. Although I kind if just did....

Along with no special features, the Mill Creek complete series release doesn't have any captioning. When you have a 2-year-old sleeping and you're trying to watch these dvd's, you need that captioning. I sold my Complete Series and got the 3 seasons individually.

Anyone who cares about this series and has a TV of 32' or over is going to notice the compression. They are heavily compressed versus the Anchor Bay releases and it is obvious when you compare them, the Mill Creek releases have halos around objects and a loss of definition that is glaring at times. Sad to say, you get what you pay for here.

No Captions? Man, I use CC on almost every DVD that has it. Wish I had known that before I bought it...
