TARGET Black Friday 2010

It seems the other BF thread was removed, so I won't post anything I didn't actually see today at Target.

Went to Target tonight and saw multiple seasons of House (didn't notice which season), Psych (1-4) and Burn Notice (1-3). I did not notice these in Target's BF ad, but they may be on sale for 12.99 or 13.99 (Like Monk S7 last year).

Also Mamma Mia 2D was put out (as was most of their stuff), but this had a special UPC sticker that allowed it to be purchased today for 3.99. If you don't want to fight the crowds and just want that one, now's the time to go.

I'm not reporting BF ads, just my personal sitings.

Re: TARGET Black Friday 2010

Nice find. I know I've gotten Psych & Monk for, I think, $12.99 at Target the past few years, so I'm guessing that will be the price, too. I hope I can get Burn Notice Season 3 for that price.

Cmon Amazon get with the price matching already... Don't make me pay sales tax and possibly shipping.

Seriously. I want to jump on Psych: Seasons 1-4, but I'd really rather avoid sales tax and shipping charges.

Re: TARGET Black Friday 2010

Anyone else notice that the artwork used in the circular for the $7.99 Lord of the Rings Blu-rays is the Trilogy Boxset artwork?

Yeah, I still see regular prices at amazon for burn notice s2/s3, so decided to go with target online. Shipping is not that bad, was $3.58 to ship the two standard.

Supposedly people are going to Target saying "You've got the Boxset listed for $7.99, that's what I want" with a copy of the ad and Target's honoring it.

I will take it to the DVD Planet.
They have a sign that says LOWEST PRICES GUARANTEED and that they price match everything (from ADs). They had a hard time price matching Zack & Miri Make A Porno fro $11.21 to $3.99 last year because they thought there was a 1-Disc & 2-Disc Edition of the movie, I wonder how they will feel when I price match Lord of the Ring Trilogy Blu-Ray from $80 to $8. Hahaha. They'll probably freak.

Re: TARGET Black Friday 2010

Just got home from two Targets...noticed they put "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" in the $5.99racks and thought to myself "those #%$*^#--they did put the wrong movie in the ad and now they're trying to cover their butts." However, I did find one copy of the Ultimate Edition of "Azkaban" at the Latham NY store and it did ring up as $5.99.

Made up for what I otherwise thought was an iffy selection. Only other thing I got was Big Bang Theory Season 3.

Re: TARGET Black Friday 2010

I got Burn Notice Season 3.

Also got Northern Exposure Season 3 for $9.99 (though that looked like the normal shelf price, not a BF sale price). I had ordered that from DeepDiscount who knows how long ago, for the same price, and have yet to receive it, so this was just easier!

Got Burn Notice S2 and S3, Psych S1 and S4. S2 was out of stock and already had S3.

Re: TARGET Black Friday 2010

I found two of my top wants at Borders at decent prices on Wed.--Psych S4 & Dr. Who S5. (I could have waited for Target for Psych S4 at $13, but who knew? A bird in the hand...) I was hoping that Target would repeat last year when I found Monk S7 at $13. Alas, no Monk S8 this year. I did pick up Simpsons S11 and a few movies. Like Wallymart last night at midnight, no wonderful surprises. Overall not as good a BF as last year, IMO, but still worth the running around.

Wish they would. My target is small so I am sure season 2 & 3 are already gone. But if it was a 2-day sale I am thinking they would still have some left.

Re: TARGET Black Friday 2010

Anyone know what my odds are of getting Psych Season 4 and Burn Notice Seasons 2 and 3 from a Target B&M around noon? Amazon seems unwilling to price match and Target is charging shipping on their website. The online inventory checker says Available but I'm skeptical.

Re: TARGET Black Friday 2010

Went today to see if there were any LOTR Trilogy sets but our store only got three in and sold out earlier this morning. I did have Big Bang Theory s2 and s3 in my hand but I rather have the Blu-ray (same mentality that prevented me in picking up the Smallville s8 and s9 from BestBuy.com).

Ended up getting two PS3s game from clearance ("Just Cause 2" for $19.98 and "NHL 10" for $14.98).

I found Psych S4 at Borders, too, for $14.99 on Wednesday, so I just picked it up. They had 30 Rock, Community, and other TV sets for similar prices. I originally wanted to use the Borders 50% off coupon, but no luck there.

I can verify that the Trilogy did scan up at the $7.99 price. I got the only one that was in the store.
