Lot of crazy shit.
Can't believe how sloppy Dexter is getting. He rents out a hotel room next door to a target and uses it for a kill room. He sure didn't learn a lesson from last season about getting too close to his kills, did he?
And what about the broken door? That's something that will raise a lot of questions, never mind that he did a kill with an open door. What if Jordan or someone from his security team entered the room while Dexter and Lumen were doing the kill or cleaning up? I remember when Dexter was careful and methodical, now he's leaving trails and witnesses tying him to his victims.
Also have to wonder if the other brother isn't going to come calling for Deb, looking for some payback...

I said it. I hope they kill her soon, my wife asked me "what?". I repeated it, I hope they kill her soon. They can even redeem her somehow, she take a bullet to save Deb, and then she dies, I'm fine with that.

Seriously, she's a ****. The whole LaBatista storyline was/is stupid, but at least Batista is likable.

I'm wondering how the narc cop got the photos of Dexter and Lumen dropping the bodies. I know he had a big lens, but I thought Dexter went way out now after the whole Bay Harbor Butcher thing, and also, the angle looked like it was taken from a camera mounted in the boat.
Still, intense episode, can't wait t see what happens next week!

I understand the criticisms about realism (answering for the broken hotel door is particularly funny), but you can't treat Dexter like it's a gritty crime drama. It's more of an adult comic book made for TV, if that makes any kind of sense. The show has had ludicrous coincidences and breaks in internal logic every season. It's not the Sopranos.
That said, this was the best episode of Dexter in years. Dexter actually looked and behaved like a sociopath every now and then, and the sleazy Robocop character is always a welcome diversion. Plus, we got to see LaGuerta take the first step toward her long-overdue demise. No way does she make it to the end of the season after pulling a stunt like that.

He didn't seem crazy when he got on his knees and howled/screamed like a madman in the bathroom after murdering that hick in this season's first episode?

I agree with this. There have been many "sloppy" moments over the last season or so, and none of them have really caught up to him, except for once I believe.

I agree with this. Things always have a way of working out for Dexter and I guess thats what most of us want to see anyway.

I think this show is at its worst when the stories of the secondary characters' storyline is entirely separate from Dexter's. I think this is what dragged season three down so much. The Metro PD was off on their own chasing a killer, Dexter was doing his own thing with a new partner, and there was nonstop interoffice political BS noone cares about. Thats not to say I'm not enjoying the show. I just want more Dexter.
Oh and bring back Harry! I guess the writers can't find a place for him now that Lumen is around for his dark passenger activities.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned the conversation Deb has with Dexter about how she doesn't feel anything after killing that guy.

I also agree about Lumen. Assuming she survives, I think there are more storytelling possibilities for the character than the remaining four episodes provide. I certainly find her more interesting than pretty much every other non-Dexter character on the show.
It's been a couple of weeks since we've seen Harry. I wonder if that's supposed to mean something.
This may only interest me, but the girl in the hotel room that prolonged Cole's time on Earth was played by Marissa Skell who was on the first season of VH-1's Scream Queens.

That's what I was thinking. I tried to recall past episodes and couldn't think of a time she killed anyone. With all the shit that went down over the past 4.5 seasons, I figured she would've had a few kills under her belt already. And we have to remember that she was a cop a least a couple years before the show started too.
