Interesting. Guess you were all watching that shitty Cowboys game or the Walking Dead.

Anyways, bump for Monday morning for anyone who feels like speaking their minds.

Sort of surprised that they brought that self-help guru into the series; don't know how that's going to pan out. Sort of seems to stretch credibility that he's on the serial rape/serial killer conspiracy thing with the dork who scrapes up roadkill.

How is Dexter going to pull this off? From how famous everyone was saying this guy is it doesn't seem as if he's not going to have every officer in the state on his back when he suddenly *disappears*.

Decent episode. With only 5 left in the season, I'm still left wondering exactly where they're heading with the storylines.

It was explained in this very episode. Boyd went to school with Cole (the security guy).

I am too. After last season, they are going to have to really top it somehow and hoping for some good shocking episodes coming up, since this season is almost a bit too "ho-hum" for me so far...

In the old days, Deb would've been naked in that scene.
Just sayin'

Yeah, I definitely have that same feeling of excitement this season. Last season I was practically frothing at the mouth to get new episodes. I'm enjoying this season, but I'm not at that same level.

Still, if I had left high school and gone on to be a multi-millionaire, I doubt I'd keep in touch with the kind of guys who do scrape up roadkill.

I suppose there could be something in their past that ties them together, like killing a girl or something...

Now you're getting it.

They were pretty blatantly setting this up as some sick cult. Watch all those guys in the picture be in on it.

Re: Dexter -- "Circle Us" -- 11/07/10

Really, would the security guy who's one step removed from Jordan Chase be the person transporting bodies in a pickup truck - his own to boot?

There's always the possibility of getting pulled over by cops or an accident. You figure some nobody would be doing the transporting and with something less exposed like a van or a moving truck. Of course these guys left the barrels containing bodies floating in some swamp for anyone to find in the first place - so they're not exactly the sharpest killers around.

What do you suggest? They actually tell another person about what they've been doing?

Well that one guy blatantly hired around 5 dudes to physically move the actual barrels, so it's not a stretch that they could just hire a guy to "drive this from point A to point B".

Exactly. This is my line of thinking.

He was already half-way there. Just get a truck that can't be traced back to him, pay the guys they're already using (unless they know who you are, then hire strangers) decent cash, and they drive it to the destination. No names are known if something goes wrong.

These guys have been sloppy from the get-go, however. Just dumping the barrels out where anybody can find them?

Hmm, that's right, only 5 left...feels like the season is just finding it's direction.

The more I think about it, this show seems to have low tier network drama writing with a premium cable budget.

That is a poor way to dispose of bodies.

I would think that were someone to see a dozen barrels floating in a swamp that they would report them to the authorities, and the EPA would probably investigate on the assumption that someone was illegally dumping toxic waste.

Re: Dexter -- "Circle Us" -- 11/07/10

As soon as they showed the motivational guy's CD in the "previously" I knew he would be making an appearance.

I get what you guys are saying about the series being a bit slow so far. So far this season reminds me of Season Three. Around this time in the season I was waiting for things to take off, or the case the police were working to link up with Dexter's activities, but neither ever really happened and the season kind of fizzled. I've learned my lesson on expecting the BS Laguerta/Angel/De stories to pan out, but I'm still holding out hope for Lumen.

Speaking of worthless side stories, who didn't know that the club sting would be a complete screw job the moment Laguerta said "rather than flooding the club with police, we will be performing a small, surgical, operation." And the icing on the top was Deb asking "If we're going to take them outside, shouldn't we actually BE outside?"

PS. As if the show's guest star history wasn't enough, based on that last scene I expect we'll be saying RIP Lumen by the end of the season.

I could be wrong, but we've never seen Deb's tits before. I still clearly remember the British chick's great pair.

And to top it off, Laguerta didn't think she did anything wrong.

I'm really hoping for some big deaths by the end of this season. Lumen seems obvious as does Jordan Chase, Robocop will die but I'm really hoping for someone like Laguerta or Angel. Quinn would be too obvious.

I dont want Lumen to die; I'm still irritated that they killed off Darla. It was a cheap way to make things easier to introduce Lumen --- they could have found another way.
