Not a fan of that cover image you're using. Hope that's not the final decision for it IF that's what it is.

Extended? by how much?

2 commentaries? Is it an extended commentary like what Apocalypse Now has for Redux?
Or actually 2 different commentaries for each Cut?

Blake Lively on the cover doesn't even come close to resembling how she looks in the movie.

That cover sucks. Would much prefer just a still shot of one of the nun bankrobbers carrying an assault rifle. Great movie though...

EDIT: Something like the theatrical poster, if not the poster itself, which looks MUCH better...

17th or 27th?

That first cover makes it looks like Pearl Harbor at the top. Hope it is the second one.

Awesome, my one complaint about the film was that it could've been longer.

I'm actually surprised Warner is releasing this just three months after its theatrical release. I was assuming (like most studios) they would've done a limited theatrical re-release for potential awards in early 2011, but I guess not.

Def in for this one, but I have a feeling this extended cut will be full of superfluous crap.

Yeah, I thought it could've fleshed out some characters or subplots, but I actually admired it's brevity as well. Hopefully the ending isn't extended, as I thought it was teetering on the edge of showing too much as it was....

Definitely want to pick this up and greatly appreciate the choice of extended and theatrical. Warner should do this for other releases like The New World.

Re: The Town (Extended) --> 12/17/10

I thought the theatrical cut was good, but sort of superficial upon reflection. I hope the extended cut is substantial, it could really make a difference.

Looked at the other art in the original article. It's a composed Photoshop image; looking at it I wonder if it's a good idea to get your hopes up for the art shown on the ad-sheet, which is essentially the poster. I have to believe it's more likely that this all-new created image is going to end up on the front of the discs as opposed to an existing one, like it or not.

I loved this movie so more is a good thing. Also, I don't care what my DVD covers look like.
