best ween songs

im a huge fan of ween...but they have some songs i really dont like. which is expected due to their diverse experimental style. so whos a fan and what songs do you love?
my faves are...
the entire 12 golden country greats cd except for "fluffy" decent song but it doesnt fit the cd.

freedom of 76'
a tear for eddie
baby bitch
what deaner was talkin bout
dont shit where you eat
object
friends
learnin to love
tried and true
bananas and blow
i dont want it
the blarney stone
its gonna be (alright)
even if you dont
pandy fackler

i honestly think if they ditched the really weird stuff they would be huge. their more traditional songs are simply amazing.

Been years since I've heard them, but I like "Piss Up A Rope" (?) and "You Fucked Up" a lot.

Yea. This song could entertain me when I'm dead. Like, play it in my coffin for eternity.

Re: best ween songs

First heard it when it was sampled by Hanatarash and thought "he must have really fucked that song up." Then I heard The Pod and realized nope, it was fucked up to begin with.

EDIT: at the album being reissued with a warning label

If they ditched their "weird" stuff, they'd be Phish. And Phish suck.

My friends and I saw Ween in Dallas opening for The Dead Milkmen. I think it was 1990 or 1991. Anyway, we asked Gene if Pollo Asado actually started as a different song and then they changed it. He confirmed that is exactly what happened. Then one of my friends smoked a joint with them.

Somewhere, there's a video of me jumping on stage with them at the end of their set screaming "Gene! Dean! Ween!"

Was that the show at Club Clearview w/Shadowy Men..., Ween, The Dead Milkmen, and The Fleshtones? I was there too, standing on a couch against the wall to the right of the stage. I've never seen that video show up in trading circles. Girl tapers just don't trade.

Yes, it was at Club Clearview. Small world. Goes to show you how frak'd up I was because I only remember Ween and The Dead Milkmen.

It wouldn't show up in trading circles because it was just one of my friends that taped everything. I grabbed his camera and jumped onstage right after their last song. That guy walked into a Sonics and recorded the workers cooking his burger. That guy was nuts.

I also did a stage dive during The Dead Milkmen's set and tried to crowd surf. The crowd dropped me. I'm a Hispanic guy that was wearing a railroad conductor's hat that night. I doubt you would remember that though.

Re: best ween songs

Also really dig this band, and while White Pepper is their best album IMO, here are two of my favorite songs not on that album (both rock hard live).
