This episode definitely delivered some laughs!
Nelson: Get a room you two.
Lisa: Were related!
Milhouse: So are my parents... I think.
Lisa: Managers manage and players play.
Ralph: Do alligators alligate?

Last season was consistently great. This season has been consistently mediocre. Not really bad or anything, just average. Tonight's episode was definitely the best of the bunch so far.
Loved the Milhouse line Drav3n mentioned above.

My thoughts exactly. Homer got a few laughs out of me and so did the Ralph juicing gag, but other than that it was a pretty mediocre episode. So far this season is 0-3 for me, although on the plus side, this episode did stick to just one storyline unlike the usual two. Does anyone else think the couch gags this season are getting a little too long? I can't remember what the last two weeks' were but this one seemed to go on about 25 secs too long.

I like baseball, but I didn't like this episode. Cool seeing Mike Scioscia, but other than that, it was pretty bad.
I did get a laugh out of Bill James saying, "I made baseball as fun as doing your taxes!"

This episode was pretty good.
With Scioscia on the show, it was great that they actually called back to first time he was on the show with the radiation poisoning. It's also one of the only times where they actually had to deal with a character aging on the show.
As most things with The Simpsons, this episode was about 2 or 3 years behind the times. Sabermetrics has lost a bit of its momentum as speed and small ball have made a comeback. Still, it was handled very well. Funny stuff with the nerds at Moe's, loved when Milhouse talked about the possibility of his parents being siblings.
What it did more than anything is make me want to watch Homer At The Bat again, one of my top 10 episodes of all time. This one wasn't quite that good, but still enjoyable.

The Simpsons has always been subversive, but last night, the animated show took that to a new level by airing a dark, extended opening title sequence—created by UK graffiti artist Banksy—that depicted Asian workers laboring over Simpsons animation and merchandise. The effect was rather stark and piercing: The first few 35 seconds of the sequence feature the near-usual credits, except for a few “Banksy” tags on prominent Springfield buildings, before rather unexpectedly veering into a depressing tour of overseas sweatshop facilities, where legions of workers slave over Simpsons animation stills (see: photo here!), kill kittens to stuff Bart Simpson dolls, and even use a chained unicorn to punch out the center of Simpsons DVDs.
Apparently, the title sequence was a reaction to reports that the show outsources much of its animation to a company in South Korea. The BBC is reporting that the controversial credits caused delays behind the scenes because of disputes over broadcast standards and a threatened walk-out by the show’s animation department. The news organization even quoted Simpsons executive producer Al Jean as saying: “This is what you get when you outsource.”
The questions here are many: How did the show get away with airing this? It puts both Fox and The Simpsons in a bad light, whether or not the reports about South Korea are true. Is this simply the rebuttal? Is this supposed to be funny? Are we supposed to laugh at this? Should The Simpsons be co-opting criticism of their show and making light of it? Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

I liked it mostly for the call backs to earlier seasons (Mike Sciocsa and the radiation poisioning, and of course the Homer's old roommates the nerds!). I couldn't help but feel like the premise of the episode had been done though, a Lisa episode and Bart's baseball team playing a main focus? Wasn't it not that long ago that we had the episode where Bart blew the big game by missing that catch?

I loved the couch gag. Thought it was very dark, but very funny. I lost it when the guy was slamming the DVDs against the unicorn's horn.
Interesting that Banksy was involved.

Check out the episode that has the Itchy & Scratchy movie back from season 4 where Kent Brockman visits the animation studio in Korea they make I&S at, where the animators are chained to their desk, being watched and poked by guards with guns.
