Question about FYE extended warranty.

I recently purchased the Slumber Party Massacre Collection at an FYE store out-of-state because they put it out a few days early. I purchased the two year extended warranty for $1.99. I got the set home and the second disc plays fine but the first skips. I registered my product for the extended warranty online and am wondering what to do next.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I did it because I purchased it out of state and if there were any defects, I didn't want to have to travel 100+ miles to exchange it.

Contact the manufacturer/distributor/studio. No need to ever buy a disc or game warranty imo.

Re: Question about FYE extended warranty.

I remember when buying a dvd at circuit city, I was asked if I wanted to purchase an extend warranty for a dvd. I just laughed at the cashier. Well, we know now where CC ended.

I guess they will tell you to return it to the closest store or send it in at your own expense for replacement.

Re: Question about FYE extended warranty.

I haven't been in an FYE stores since the beginning of the year... I totally forgot about their "DVD Warranty" and am suprised they can put this off onto customers. You should of had to register to your product and after mailing in your defective item they send you a gift card for the amount you paid. So the whole reasoning for you wasting your money on this warrantly still isnt working in your favor if you dont have a store around you to use that gift card.

Can't you use the giftcard at fye.com?
