Gladiator blu-ray question

How do you tell the old Gladiator bluray apart from the new one on the store shelf? Some say the bar code is yellow on the new one, others say the words "two-disc set" are missing or some such thing. Does anyone here know for sure?

That's a GREAT idea!

Truth be told, it was hidden 20 something pages in the Sapphire thread. VoreLord, start reading at about post #644.

I did a search for “Gladiator” before I made this post and none of the resulting subject lines jumped out at me as being related to this issue. I don’t spend eight hours a day on this message board and don’t have the contents of every thread memorized.

Thanks to everyone else for the helpful info. I went to the thread mentioned, there still appears to be conflicting info but I have a better understanding of what I need to be watching for now.

Is it too late to get an exchange?

I thought it was both. Initially it was the "two-disc set" wording not there, and now they've started including yellow bar codes.

It is both... technically.

Copies with a white UPC missing the words "2-Disc Set" above the Paramount logo on the actual cover art are the remastered release. Do not just look at the slipcover, look at the cover underneath it.

Copies with a yellow UPC are the remastered release. All copies with the yellow UPC, not some.
