What New Shows Are You Trying Out This Season?
SSIA
For me i'm buying into all the hype for The Event and Hawaii 5-0, got them set up for a season pass. I've got it narrowed down to 8 shows right now, gonna wait off to hear if anything else catches on with the people.
Boardwalk Empire
The Event
Hawaii 5-0
Lone Star
Raising Hope
Running Wilde
The Walking Dead
The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret
I may try No Ordinary Family but something about it just seems off. I'll give the pilot a try but if it doesn't grab me in the first episode I won't watch the second. If I read good things in May about the first season i'll pick it up on DVD.

Same here. They've hooked me with their promotions and advertisements. I'll check it out; hope it lives up to the hype.
I'm also going to check out or am already watching...
I'll probably give Shit My Dad Says and Outsourced a shot, but I don't think I'll stick with either of them.

Nothing about Outsourced has grabbed me, i'll check the threads in a month or two to see what the general opinion has been.

Boardwalk Empire
The Good Guys (already started)
The Event
Lone Star
Hellcats
H-5-0
The Defenders
Outlaw
Blue Bloods
Shit My Dad Days
I don't expect to watch all of these in the long run due to either lack of quality or cancellation.

The first two weeks of the new season are usually pretty loaded, I try everything that sounds interesting.
A good half of those new shows are gone after the first two episodes bore me.

I'm not going to watch Outsourced. I just don't think it's a funny situation, especially coming from a company (GE) that actively outsources jobs.

I'll give The Event an episode or two, but I just don't have too much interest in it yet. I'm 2 episodes into Nikita, but I'm about ready to drop that one. Also, I have the first 2 episodes of Terriers saved, but I haven't felt like checking it out yet.

I'll check out Hawaii 5-0 for the eye candy, and then inevitably drop it out of boredom after two or three episodes.

The Walking Dead
Nothing else has caught my attention at all... which really sucks because my wife has about a billion shows (mostly on the CW) that I refuse to watch with her.

I'll check out anything that doesn't involve quirky lawyers, grumpy doctors, bantering cops, or an elite team of ________ solving a case of the week.
My short list includes:
Lone Star
Boardwalk Empire
The Event

Re: What New Shows Are You Trying Out This Season?
I probably watch the most in this forum.
Monday:
The Event (I want to know what the hell The Event is)
Lone Star (Very intriguing premise)
Hawaii Five-O (Hawaii, Bikinis and lots of action, what more can you ask for?)
Chase (I'm an action procedural junkie and the trailers look good)
Tuesday:
No Oridinary Family (Saw the Pilot and the show has potential)
Detroit 187 (Not another damn cop show, I like the cast and that it's actually filmed in Detroit)
Running Wilde/Raising Hope (Both of these look interesting, Not a huge sitcom watcher, but like to balance my shows with lighter stuff)
Wednesday:
Terriers (already started)
Undercovers (Like JJ Abrams and the 2 leads look great together)
Hellcats (already started)
Better with You (Mainly because of my attraction for Jennifer Finnigan and JoAnna Garcia )
Law and Order: LA (Never followed any L&O show actively, but I like the cast they assembled)
The Whole Truth (Another damn, law procedural, but I like Maura Tierney)
The Defenders (Wasn't planning on watching this, but one of the Producers worked on CSI and Jerry O'Connell can be funny and I think this show has a more comedic tone to it.)
Thursday:
Nikita (already started)
Friday:
Blue Bloods (Because Tom Selleck is the man!)
Outlaw (already started, but this may by the 1st to go)
Body of Proof (mainly because of my attraction to Dana Delany and Jeri Ryan )
Sunday:
The Walking Dead (Loved the trailer and it's only 6 episodes)
This is all in addition to the stuff that I currently watch. I think a few of a law procedurals may get sacrificed due to lack of time/interest.
Not going to even talk about midseason, but the 2 that interests me the most are Mr. Sunshine and Shawn Ryan's new show Ride-Along.
Some of you probably think it's insane to attempt to follow so many, but at least I always have something to watch after I get off work or on days off and I upgraded to 2 200 hour Directv HD DVR's over the summer, so I have plenty of space.

Re: What New Shows Are You Trying Out This Season?
My list is pretty much the same as the other users, however I am really looking forward to Ride Along after the amazing review it got from The Futon Critic. As for the list (and my thoughts on them):
The Event - Seems interesting enough, but it looks like it may not even come close to the hype.
The Chase - This one looks kind of dull. Futon Critic review did not give me a reason to watch it.
No Ordinary Family - I have heard mixed reviews on this one...but given the cast and crew, this one will at least get me to watch the pilot.
Running Wilde - I like the leads in the show, but Will Arnet outside of Arrested Development has been a lot of mis-fires for me.
The Walking Dead - Quite possibly the most anticipated series of the year. Given the talent behind the camera, there is little doubt how awesome it will be.
Undercovers - I like J.J. Abrams, but I am not sure how I feel about this one. I will probably give it a shot, but I have no expectations.
Blue Bloods - Looks a little too sappy for my taste. But if I am home on a Friday, I will give it a look.
Hawaii Five-0 - This one is either going to be decent or horrible...there will be no middle ground. The only plus Grace Park in a bikini...might get me to watch every week.
Terriers - Looks good and I like the talent behind it. Have yet to watch though.
Boardwalk Empire - Completely lived up to the hype. Excellent pilot and I expect the rest of the season to follow suit.
Lone Star - This is the one that has me really excited, but I have this sinking feeling it will be really good with no one watching it.

I think I'll skip The Event. Too many overly-serialized shows in the past have promised "we have it all figured out". Won't be fooled again!

I had the same feeling but then I read that the creator has been pitching this for a couple years and sketched out the entire series while all the networks kept passing on it.
