Leonardo DiCaprio

Let's discuss...Mr. A-List.

I'm personally a little tired of the guy, but I give him his due for being a very talented actor.

What do you think is his best performance?

Re: Leonardo DiCaprio

From Catch Me If You Can onward..I've yet to be bored. Everything before....I was annoyed by him. Of course...I was a child at that time..so I got tired of girls not shutting the fuck up about him. As an adult and watching some of those films he did...fucking overhyped to an extreme but he was on a good path onto which we have now.

Re: Leonardo DiCaprio

Favorite performance would have to be Catch Me if You Can. That having been said, I didn't really respect him as an adult actor until the Departed.

Probably was the Aviator when I started to really like him.

Re: Leonardo DiCaprio

Titanic is one of my favorite movies, but I can't say his performance was excellent there.

Nor Gilbert Grape. He went full retard, man. You never go full retard.

I'll say The Departed is my favorite performance.

Re: Leonardo DiCaprio

Catch me if you can is when I started to take him as a serious actor. Great stuff.

Re: Leonardo DiCaprio

I picked Blood Diamond, but it was a tough choice. I also loved him in The Departed.

Re: Leonardo DiCaprio

I picked Blood Diamond because it was the first movie I saw that made me start taking him seriously as an actor.

Re: Leonardo DiCaprio

What's Eating Gilbert Grape no doubt about it. His later roles starting with Titanic just seem so forced including the accents, the looks and such. I am not a huge fan but he is decent.

Re: Leonardo DiCaprio

Titanic. Not my favorite of his films, but I thought his earnest performance carried that movie.

Re: Leonardo DiCaprio

The Basketball Diaries...prior to his star status, gave an emotionally spent and raw performance. none of his trademark facial hair and an incredible role in an ok movie.

Re: Leonardo DiCaprio

This list reminded me that I've never been a big fan of his work. I think that his best performance so far has been Inception.

Re: Leonardo DiCaprio

Aside from "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" I wasn't a fan of anything pre-Catch Me If You Can, but starting with that movie I've consistently liked everything he's been involved in. I'd say his best performance has been in Revolutionary Road.

Went with the Aviator too. Although like people have said everything after "Catch Me If You Can " has been pretty good
