Re: The Departed vs Brooklyn's Finest
Of all the cop films out there, why compare these two? A Best Picture winner that was generally well received vs Cop Cliche: The Movie?

I finished The Departed, and turned off Brooklyn's Finest.

I didn't vote because I haven't seen Brooklyn's Finest but I'm gonna go ahead and guess the answer is the one directed by Scorsese and not some other guy.

I have actually seen both. Brooklyns Finest wasn't terrible (besides the end being a little goofy), but the Departed was excellent.

Re: The Departed vs Brooklyn's Finest
I was actually going to create a thread about The Departed to mention how much that film has grown on me (to see if it has affected others in the same way as well). The story is nothing special and there are even some really bad moments but it has some damn great acting and obviously.....directing.
Brooklyn's Finest, I actually like a lot as well. It's definitely more on the depressing side.
Obviously for this thread I would pick The Departed.

/\ Gotta go with Cop and a Half, only because The Professional did not have a scene with the hero and child urinating into a toilet at the same time.

Re: The Departed vs Brooklyn's Finest
I was tempted to vote for Brooklyn's Finest just to be a Douche and mess up the poll but found I just couldn't bring myself to do it. After voting and seeing the results I see a few people had the same idea.
