Re: DVD Talk New-To-DVD Theatrical Release and Discussion Thread

Scott Pilgrim Vs the World's new Unoffical Date is 11/9 jumped up from Dec 21st.

the reason for this.....Universal though it was going to be a bonofide hit, now they expect it to be a sleeper cult hit

/\ The sooner the better! They'd be wise to rush it out, anyway.

VideoETA lists Inception for January 2011. Does that mean it got pushed back from December? That would be a very long wait. I hope it is in December 2010.

That's just the site's guess on when it will be on DVD. They've had Inception listed as January 2011 since the movie first opened. December 7th would be the most logical release date since The Dark Knight and the last two Harry Potters opened the same weekend Inception did and Warner Brothers released those on DVD between December 8th -11th.

Two things.....

Kids are Alright is scheduled Via Universal for a November 2010 release, according to their current sheets

as for Sorcerers Aprentice, The reason for the bump up from Dec to Nov.

Looks like we are Moving Step Up 3-D and Tales from Earthsea into the Mid December slot

Two things:

Thank you for the reply and November is shaping up to be another huge month (not even counting BF deals). 9 blus in Oct, including 2 huge sets (BTTF, Alien Quad) which technically adds up to 14 films and The Kids Are All Right would make 8 for November (with more likely to come).

I hope November and December prices are as low as last year.

Re: DVD Talk New-To-DVD Theatrical Release and Discussion Thread

the Low Price thing....Depends on the Title

Most of the big summer hits

Twilight
Sorcerers
Salt
Inception
etc will all have low price tags however films like Kids are Alright, Get Low, Mao's Last Dancer, and even Going the distance and Charlie St Cloud wll still have high price tags of $19.99 on them.
