Entourage - "Tequila and Coke" - 8/15/10

"Tequila and Coke"
Spoiler:
Vince parties too hard the night before a meeting with director Randall Wallace; Ari agrees to help Lizzie find a new job; Turtle promises a retailer more product than he can deliver; Eric is intrigued by Billy Walsh s latest pitch.

Not as good as two weeks ago, but overall another solid ep. I wonder how one show can have so many fine looking women in it?

I think it's obvious that Billy Walsh is going to play some large role before this season is over. I wonder who it was that leaked info on the tapes?

Princess Leia is looking old.

Maybe we're looking at a surprise return of Adam Davies... I hope it isn't Lloyd.

I'm surprised how upset Drama is over the cartoon.

Yikes! I hadn't seen Carrie Fisher in awhile, but time has not been her friend or D'Angelo's for that matter.

Liked Bill Simmons' tweet about the episode

HBO is running the best 30-minute tequila ads I've ever seen. The one tonight had nudity, cocaine, Sasha Grey & Chris Bosh.
It's funny now how it's almost weird when Ari actually talks about Vince.

Liked the Chris Bosh cameo and Turtle telling him he should have been a Knick.

Interesting turning point for the characters tonight, Vince has never outright deceived E or the boys before, should be interesting to see how this plays out.

As to my theory for who is causing all the drama:
Spoiler:
I thought it was obvious that Scott Cann's character has been leading Vince down the rabbit hole all season?

Wow, Vince is on coke now. Clever episode title, too.

Possible, but I'm putting my money on:

Spoiler:
Billy. Do you really think he's cleaned up like he says he has?

I think he's clean but I wouldn't be surprised if he told the director that Vince was on coke. I wouldn't put it past Scott either, he didn't seem too surprised when E told him what happened.

BUT I'm not convinced that someone is sabatoging Vince. I think it's building up to a E/Vince breaking point where Vince realizes how much he really needs E. It seems that it's E that's been keeping Vince on track all these years and now without him Vince has lost his way.

Can we get some Sloane side boob screencap?

Hasn't this shit happened like 5 times by now though? Vince should know he needs E by this point. Unfortunately, the audience knows it, too. I detested E during the first few seasons of this show, but somehow that disappeared along the way.

I agree that no one is sabotaging Vince; it's his own doing.

E no longer needs Vince 24/7. He has his job with new BFF Scott Caan, married life with Sloane, meetings with Saget and new clients in Walsh and Drama. Vince no longer fits as a priority number one in E's life, this is Vince acting out.

I saw her name in the credits and couldn't even remember seeing her. Please tell me she wasn't the reporter... YIKES. Long way from being tied up to Jabba the Hut, to well, I won't even say it...

Yep and that's why I think that's the way it'll go. They rehash the same storylines every season. The only time they didn't rehash a storyline was last season and not surprisingly people considered that to be the weakest season that was saved by a great finale (which had more to do with Matt Damon then anyone else).

Wasn't he sitting on the couch across from Vince when he snorted a line?

We got a hint of Vince lying to E earlier when he claimed that he got the director's approval for his haircut.

Another solid episode this week. Felt bad for Ari after his call with Jerry Jones.

I liked how they stuck with him for 15-20 seconds after the phone call ended so you could see how hurt he was.

The way you could tell that Ari was really hurt was when his assistant said "Boy, your phones are ringing off the hook! Something big must be going on!" and Ari didn't even look up, let alone take his head off.

Seeing Ari like that was the most shocking thing. Great performance

Re: Entourage - "Tequila and Coke" - 8/15/10

I mention in a post from the last episode that the show cheapens out because they rarely show anyone doing real drugs - especially the main characters, and then we see Vince doing coke.

Vince didn't seem to be hiding his coke use - how the hell did Turtle not notice it?

"The NFL doesn't do scandal?" Good one. Has there ever been a season where the NFL didn't have some big scandal? The accusations against Ari is so minor compared to the shit that goes down in the NFL all the time.

Seriously, just kill of Drama already. Entourage should do a series cross-over with Hung so that Drama and Tayna can get together and whine and bitch while as their characters commit suicide. Kill off two annoying characters in one shot.

I think Billy will have something to do with Vince getting clean. It's obvious he knows exactly what's going with him.
