If you ask me, I think gfoots deserved their own "club"!
Thanks MP for the challenge and congratulations to all the winners!

Holy cow! If I'm reading this correctly, I won not once but twice.
If no one else has an objection, I would like to defer my Creation of the Humanoids/War Between The Planets to gfoots for an *UNBELIEVABLE* 232.5 count. Simply amazing!
I'm looking forward to Lasterblast because the poster art reminds me of Luke Skywalker in the liquid chamber in Empire. I've seen that picture like 50 times over the last month when I go to the threads and I was actually going to buy that movie anyways!
An amazing challenge. Big thanks to Mister Peepers and the sponsors. I think I may have to watch another Sci-Fi title now (preferably animated )

The prizes I have should be going out around Wednesday. Hamilton Books is sending their stuff out, so I'll pass on those addresses to them. I got something from them previously and they were quick.

How appropriate for this challenge that the winner's total is a non-integer. It's so nerdy.
Awesome job, gfoots. And congrats to all the lucky winners. It's cool that we're getting sponsors for these challenges. Once again, to Mister Peepers for running this - I hope to watch a lot more next year.

Re: Summer Sci-Fi/Fantasy Challenge 2010 - Results Thread
Thanks for the congratulations and the prize. However, I don't think I should feel proud of what I did. I wish I had some other things going on last month. By about day 12 I was starting to feel physically ill and by the end of the month, totally depressed. But I just muscled through to finish off the challenge. Actually, most of the time I had movies playing, I was working on other projects. During the month of July I finished a block print for a show in Seattle, lined up all the participants for my own international, cooperative art portfolio, rebuilt a small printing press, took part in two exhibitions in Chicago (one a group show, one solo,) sent prints off for a show in Australia, designed the album cover for a friend's band, helped to organize a local music festival/art fair, and printed three runs of t-shirts. My blog for the month of June makes it look like I was pretty busy.

You'll notice there's no mention of the challenge on there. I'm keeping this to myself.
I thought I'd avoid watching anything after the challenge, but I still have about a week until my girlfriend gets home and my new job won't start for another couple of weeks. So I'm back in front of the TV for now.

Always have such fun with the scifi and the horror challenges! And it was great to have fantasy included this time around, too.
Thanks for organizing things again, Mister Peepers! Hope everyone had as much fun as I did.

Thanks again, Mister Peepers! It was lots of fun and I'll probably try this one again next year as it's my favorite genre! Heck, I should go ahead and start the animation one as I'm currently watching a TMNT cartoon marathon with my grandson!

Re: Summer Sci-Fi/Fantasy Challenge 2010 - Results Thread
Just wanted to say thanks for running this challenge. I started out pretty strong in the first few weeks but then I had a run of bad luck and it kind of fell to the wayside for me, but it was a lot of fun when I could participate. I was honestly surprised at how much I was enjoying it since I wouldn't consider my self a sci-fi fan really. Thanks again and I look forward to it again next year.

Thanks again for running this, MP! There's just something infinitely cool about watching cheesy (and not-so-cheesy) '50s Sci-Fi flicks in the searing July heat. And the inclusion of Fantasy was the icing on the cake.

I won something? I guess I should've checked this thread sooner. And it was a DVD I wanted and didn't already have.
PM sent.

Thanks for hosting the challenge. I think the checklists help everyone appreciate the history of the film making process, regardless of the genre.
