What's your median movie?
If you were to take all the movies you've ever seen, and divide equally into the top 50% and the bottom 50%, what movie is likely to fall right near the middle?
I wonder if there's a movie we could all agree on as being thoroughly mediocre.

CHANGE OF HABIT (1969), starring Elvis Presley and Mary Tyler Moore
That one falls right in the middle of MY list.

Superman Returns is a good choice for mediocre.

The Mexican leaps to mind. It was just good enough that I remember it with some fondness while at the same time barely remembering it.

Good thread idea, but for me, I can probably eventually come up with a top 200, and a bottom 100, with the other ~3000 all in the middle. But Superman Returns, Bram Stoker's Dracula, Charlie Wilson's War and Outbreak are good choices.

Despite being a big Tarantino fan, Reservoir Dogs falls right in the middle for me. Citizen Kane, The Terminator, and Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl also fall somewhere in the middle.

Lake Placid I might watch it if I flip by it on TV but I could never see owning it and I usually forget about it the second I change channels again.

Dead set, middle of the pack, 5 out of 10? Of the past decade?
Troy. Once Upon A Time In Mexico. Revenge of the Sith. Or, if you want to get less genre-gimmicky, Thirteen, The Brave One, or Babel.
I could see Crash and Superman Returns there too. Maybe just a hair above.
Although Thirteen did light the "Exactly When Does Nikki Reed Turn 18" fuse...
