The Phantom (2010 Re-boot) 09-07-10
Now when I first saw the cover art for this I though the people of Vivendi were kidding, yes is a reboot that skipped theaters, but here it goes:
The following content was provided by the publisher.
Young urban daredevil Kit Walker finds himself recruited by a secret organization, unveiling a heritage he never could have dreamed possible. Revered as the twenty-first "ghost who walks," he must now uphold and honor his ancestors' creed - to fight crime and injustice throughout the world. But it's a new world out there, and going up against high-tech savvy criminals will take training and discipline unlike anything bestowed on the "Phantom".

I'm still thinking that.
That costume defeats the mystique behind the concept of The Phantom as was originally intended. Did they think that if they made the costume purple he could automatically be The Phantom? According to the reviews I've read, of this 2 part miniseries they've bored us to death in Part 1 before The Phantom finally gets to wear his padded kevlar reinforced outfit to battle evil in Part 2. From what I can tell, it sounds to me like they shouldn't have even called this The Phantom. -kd5-

Watched it last week after I DVR'ed it from SyFy.
Decent stuff. The writers have comic books chops and know their Phantom history. I'll probably buy it.

And he's then shown the outfit he wears as a prototype to fit with modern standards.
But the classic costume is there and given actual proper respect before he makes his decision.
