The Hangover: Extreme Edition - October 12, 2010

10 months after it's inital release, dvdactive.com is reporting a double dip in time for Phillips' new film, Due Date.

Warner Home Video has announced DVD ($33.92) and Blu-ray ($35.99) editions of The Hangover: Extreme Edition for October 12th. Each will include the theatrical cut (99 mins) as well as a new 108 minute unrated cut. The rest of the details are still sketchy I'm afraid, although each edition will include a 28-page book which contains even more incriminating photos. The Blu-ray release will also include an exclusive soundtrack sampler.

I have a feeling that the new 108 cut will simply insert different photos over the end credits, as the current unrated release also runs at 108 minutes. Otherwise, all that looks new is a CD sampler, and bound book of photos.

Makes me glad I didn't buy the previous release. I might grab this one.

I loved this movie...but it's way too soon for a re-release. But i guess Warner knows there are lots of idiots out there that will gladly bend over and double or possibly triple dip on the same title which is why studios keep releasing the same title with so many different editions.

I'm happy with my Blu-ray copy...so definitely a pass.

While I haven't picked the movie up yet, if I do, I'll settle for the previous release. This doesn't look like it's adding anything of additional value to me.

Never picked up the previous edition or saw this but everyone I've talked to loved this film so I may bite on this version-

I bought the first 2-Disc release, I'm happy with that, no need to double dip.
