That looks pretty awful, actually. I do love the ungainly title "Batman : The Brave and The Bold - The Video Game".

Wow, it looks just like the cartoon. But then again there was a Batman game years ago the looked just like BtAS and it wasn't that great. Even if it's good, I doubt I'll buy it if it's just for the Wii
But I will give them credit for bringing in other DC heroes.

obviously this is being marketed to kids 5 - 9. it looks pretty damn good graphically. no so much on the gameplay, but I'm not the target audience.

You mean Batman: Vengeance by chance? I thought that was a decent game a little on the short side but it was an okay rental. There was a second game based off Batman: The Animated Series that wasn't as good though called Rise of Sin Tzu. On topic of this game though it looks fine for a kid's game and I'm a fairly big fan of Batman, but this is not something I'd be interested in myself. Plus I've never watched this incarnation of Batman and don't really intend to.

The only game I know of that was based on the original Batman:TAS is The Adventures of Batman and Robin for the SNES (incidentally, this was the title of the animated series' second season - confused yet?). The Adventures of Batman and Robin was arguably the best Batman game in existence until Arkham Asylum came along.

Technically, both of those games were based on The New Batman Adventures, which was the same continuity as Batman:TAS, but had a slightly different animation style and overall feel.

True. I guess I always viewed Batman: The Animated Series and The New Batman Adventures to be the same. I know they had differences but it felt like an extension of the same series (which it basically was). I never have had a chance to play the Batman: TAS game for SNES as I never owned an SNES.
Obviously, I won't go into specifics, but if you're a fan of the series, it's pretty easy to experience The Adventures of Batman and Robin with SNES emulation. It's basically a side-scrolling action platformer, but it captures the look and atmosphere of the series very well and offers quite a bit of variety for a game from that era.

I agree that it has nice potential for using different characters.
