looking forward to this. So far I've been impressed with the show in it's 3rd season and I honestly think it'll continue to get stronger. Adding the new burned spy helps give the show a new spin

^^ It's actually season 4.
Jeffrey Donovan just tweeted that he directed tonight's episode.

Bruce Campbell was great here, though I have to admit I get a kick out of his cover name being Chuck Finley. I chuckled when he said "You've never seen Chuck Finley in action" because of how many times I actually saw Finley pitch over the years.
It didn't take mama too long to figure out who burned Jesse. And Jesse does add a new element to the show, a nice shot in the arm.

I also love Sam's cover name, but for me it's mostly about him picking the guy Tawny Kitaen beat up to use as his cover name.

Great episode for Sam! You can see all the "conflict" between hothead Jesse and practical Michael. It's going to come to a head, and I hope sooner than later. Otherwise, it'll just be a cliche bore.
I started out hating Sharon Gless' mother character. Then she was actually good. Now I'm back to hating her again. She's way too whiny and victim-ish. At least for my liking. I have no more empathy for her.
Fi on the walkaway on the docks at the end of the show.... NICE!

Caught this tonight although a few days late.
Enjoyed that it was a Sam-oriented episode. I've always wondered if Matt Nix had some fascination with Chuck Finley, the pitcher, to give Sam that code name. Nestor Serrano was a pretty good villain.
It was interesting to see Madeline figure out that Michael was the one who screwed over Jesse. I have to assume my the mid-season finale Jesse will discover that Michael was the one who burned him.
For Jeffrey Donovan's directorial debut, I was pretty satisfied. He didn't have to direct any crazy stunts or action sequences.
BTW, I picked up the season 3 DVD set last week. Very disappointed with it. It's pretty much barebones. One lame stunt featurette and the 2009 Burn Notice Comic Con panel. Zero audio commentaries!!

It was okay. Glad that they humanized the bad guy for once so he wasn't a complete caricature. Not a big fan of Jesse though...

What bugged me the most about this episode was every time the bad guy was on screen he was wearing the same outfit (well except tied up to the bed)!
Otherwise okay episode. Fi seems to be agreeing with Jesse a lot and I think that will get to Michael sooner than later as well.
Glad to see Sam get some good screen time.
