What the hell?! That trailer's a pretty darn clever way to introduce a reboot, while tossing the film's look and semi-"realism" right at us. I'm certainly interested.

I agree it's well-made and I would enjoy a new MK movie on par or better than the first one but this trailer felt so wink-wink to MK fans that it just didn't do anything for me. Hopefully, though, it does something for some investors.

I honestly don't give a damn about MK. It's a crappy game franchise BUT it does have visually interesting characters (depending on which one you play) with a plot that can sustain the fighting..and that's all you need for a film based off of it. As long as it's well made as well.

All the time, I thought the prisoner in shadow was going to be Kano. Not too keen on changing Baraka. I thought he was a minion of Shao Khan?
