Godfather Part III question

Forgive me if this has been answered, but I was watching this last night and during the wake in Italy when Michael is by the casket I noticed the right side of the casket appears to be a photo they merged with the left side which is film. The left side is full of grain and the right is strangely still, does anyone know why this was done? Thanks!

Re: Godfather Part III question

I really don't think that's what they did. Depending on your video source and display, it may just appear to you to be that way. Some displays will only update pixels that have changed, so if there is no movement in one area of the screen, it will look like it's a still.

Re: Godfather Part III question

My question about GODFATHER III:

How the hell do you get from Sicily to Naples by taking a train?!
