Which Night of the Living Dead (Original) release is the best?

I am quite ashamed to say that I have never seen Night of the Living Dead. I've just never been a horror movie fan but am trying to see all movies that are deemed classics, regardless of genre.

So this leads me to my question: with so many different DVD releases of the same film, which one is essential? A quick look at Amazon has several options, including one from Good Time Video for only $5.00. Any feedback would be very much appreciated.

Myself, I think the Elite Entertainment "Millennium Edition" is the one to beat. As always, YMMV...

I now we've had at least a couple threads asking this question in the past if you want to search.
