Where's the Rest of Columbo?

anyone have any idea when the rest of Columbo is getting released?

I keep waiting and waiting and nothing!

Might just have to bite the bullet and import from R2.

Re: Where's the Rest of Columbo?

It's in Heaven now with the rest of Quincy and St. Elsewhere.

Seriously, though, your best bet to keep up on up-to-date news on this show (and show your support for it) is to VOTE and make your voice count at tvshowsondvd.com. Not only will you get to vote for the show to come out on DVD but you will get email notifications once news is released on future releases of the show.

For as to what happened, it's either going to be music rights or sales that killed a show on DVD. In this instance, I would go with sales.

Re: Where's the Rest of Columbo?

All we need is Hollywood to make a movie or new tv show of Columbo and then we'll get it. Everytime this happens like with A Team, a new product gets released like its complete set.

Re: Where's the Rest of Columbo?

So what is still missing in the US?

The UK sets and the US sets are named differently. The US season sets stop after season 7, and then there were (2?) "Mystery Movie Collections" while the UK versions kept naming them "season 8, season 9" etc

Re: Where's the Rest of Columbo?

whats missing is what UK set is calling series 10,11 and 12. One EP from series 10 has been released here in last yrs set, but thats all. We are missing all the rest... I might have just import them from R2, that is if I see a really good deal on them.

Re: Where's the Rest of Columbo?

The fact that soon I will be holding complete collections of Norm Show, Larry Sanders AND Max Headroom in my hands gives me hope for the future. I can live with these shows on standard DVD (if they aren't going to put them on Blu-Ray.) I am just thrilled to finally be getting them.

Here's hoping Shout Factory resurrects some of these shows in the future.

Except A-Team was already out and finished on DVD long before the movie. The new Bionic Woman TV series didn't really hurry along the original series on DVD. I realize the new series was a failure, but still...it did rekindle interest in the original show.

Re: Where's the Rest of Columbo?

As far as classic tv goes, it appears that Perry Mason is the only series left that gets regular releases! I don't understand why they went as far as to release three seasons of Gunsmoke, and then give up.

Let's hope Shout Factory gets rights to these titles before Warner decides to go MOD on us for those.

yes I noticed that! good news, but a bit late since I just finished ordering them from the UK.

Seems the dvd sets in the UK are off better picture quality as well. Or Maybe its just a PAL/NTSC difference. or maybe its just me, but they looked better to me.
