Gamera Special Edition Audio ?

Does the new version of Gamera really have no english audio and only subtitles ? I love Gamera, but I refuse to read a movie. I don't care how bad dubbing is. A lot of the time, it makes the movie a lot more fun.

Apparently, there are a lot of Gamera fans that love the English-dubbed versions. I'm not sure the reasons other than those are the ones that they watched on TV. Just sharing what I've read, not taking sides.

What's great about watching the original Gameras in Japanese is that they often featured westerners in the cast, e.g. the Japanese boy usually had a white playmate. And the westerners generally spoke Japanese. In at least one I saw (I forget which one), the dialogue scenes were shot sync-sound and the whites spoke undubbed Japanese in their scenes. I found that fascinating and the films got more points with me because of it.

If you're trying to be helpful, no such luck. But the opposite is true if you substitute "smarmy" for "helpful".
still works for me. maybe only works with me logged in, which seems odd.

As a proud owner of several Godzilla movies on Blu-ray from Japan, I do too. Also love all the R1 releases from the last few years that include the Japanese cuts.
