DVD Talk review of 'Survivors: Complete Original Series 1975-1977'

I read John Sinnott's DVD review of Survivors: Complete Original Series 1975-1977 at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=43626 and...

This most definitely did make it to broadcast TV in the USA. WLIW in New York showed it at least three times during the late 1980s/early 1990s. At that time the BBC was cutting down on the amount of episodes of Doctor Who being made, so their American distribution arm started bringing over older BBC series with a sci-fi/fantasy slant (Blake's 7 came over around this time too) in an attempt to keep pledge revenue flowing to PBS stations starved for new Doctor Who.

Thanks for the info Chris! I'm pretty sure it didn't make it to my area (I was living in Iowa at the time, going to grad school) as we were too poor to have cable and ended up watching a lot of PBS. Drats.
I've updated my review.

John
