I was checking out Amazon for Sanctuary, Season 2 and they have 2 versions up for pre-order. A regular release and a "5 Disc Rental Configuration":

It says:

Product Description
Includes the complete Season 2 plus an extra copy of Disc 1 - Great for rental stores

When did Amazon start selling these? If you were a rental outlet would you buy from Amazon - not likely. What's the purpose?

If it's cheaper, there's no reason for a rental store to not buy it. The extra disc one does make sense.

That is weird. Any sizeable store would order from a wholesaler, but I suppose some small mom and pops might order some titles from Az. Especially now with all the studio restrictions on wholesale purchases.

I forgot about this. Yeah, seems odd to me too but I guess someone is buying them or they wouldn't be listing them.
