The next chapter finds Rambo recruited by missionaries to protect them during a humanitarian aid effort on behalf of the persecuted Karen people of Burma. After the missionaries are taken prisoner by Burmese soldiers, Rambo gets a second impossible job: rescue the missionaries in the midst of a civil war.
Special Features so far include:
- 9 Extra uncut minutes of the film
- 60 minute production diary

I'm in for a cheaper price.
I do wish for ticket to see The Expendables but...Lionsgate doesn't do that I believe.

Is this the one he advertised on Leno a long time ago and that the proceeds would go to Burma? I might pick this up if it is a decent price on release day.

It'd be nice if this one contained all the extras from the original disc, as well as the theatrical cut. Then I could just get rid of that one and have this one.

I'd like to get this, movie was pretty damn good!
Will this be a US release also, or just Canadian?

Didn't Stallone say in an interview the extra 9 minutes is just extra dialogue with some chick?
I have the theatrical on Blu, so I'll be skipping it if that's the case

As the special features producer for both the original disc and this new release, I want to comment on the inclusion of extras for both releases. The new director's/extended cut does not contain the features I produced for the original 2008 release, but that was a very deliberate choice. When putting together the features for this new release, I looked at it as an extension of the original release. We didn't just want to recycle what people had already seen and owned. We wanted to create new material that would be fresh and more in concert with the director's cut purpose of the new disc. I wanted to create a great 2-disc set, it just so happens that both discs are available separately. So you have a theatrical disc with all the extras geared towards the collaborative movie making process (including interviews with cast and crew) and an extended cut disc with a brand new 80+ minute production diary from Sylvester Stallone. I hope that makes sense and people understand that the original extras weren't left off in an effort to screw people, because if that were the case, Lionsgate would never have approved the creation of the production diary (which runs almost the length that the theatrical cut does).

thanks again, mr. producer sir.

That is exactly the type of thing I wanted people to do.
