While I have no clue who Buddy Revell is, anyone who has Snake Plissken, Frank Booth, and Black Dynamite gets my vote.

KillerCannibal
1. R.J. MacReady - (not that interesting of a character to pick first round)
2. Godzilla - (King Kong is more interesting as a "character")
3. Harmonica - (poor man's "Man with No Name)
4. Snake Plissken + (ruined a bit by the sequel, but still great)
5. Frank Booth + (wonderfully creepy villain)
6. Seth Brundle - (I don't remember this as a great "character")
7. Buddy Revell - (I enjoyed this movie 20+ years ago, but this character is completely unmemorable to me)
8. Detective Jimmy "Popeye" Doyle + (awesome)
9. Black Dynamite + (not too soon)
10. Don Logan + (this character is great and should have gone much sooner!)
Total Pluses: 4
Bobby Shalom
1. Travis Bickle + (classic character, easy first round pick)
2. Rick Deckard - (I would have gone with the Rutger Hauer chararcter)
3. Daniel Plainview + (this character drinks my milkshake)
4. Phillip Marlowe + (mostly for Bogart's performance)
5. Harold Chasen - (Maude would have been the better pick)
6. Tony Montana + (that terrible accent makes the character even better)
7. John "Bluto" Blutarsky + (the ultimate Belushi role)
8. Walker + (Lee Marvin is great in ANYTHING)
9. Malcolm Tucker - (haven't seen)
10. Rocky Sullivan - (there are much better Cagney characters to choose from)

Toughest of the Round 1 match-ups for me...but went with Bobby, since Killer couldn't decide which Kurt Russell character he wanted more and drafted both of them.

Re: DVDTalk Draft Round 1 (KillerCannibal vs Bobby Shalom)
KillerCannibal had Harmonica and Popeye Doyle, but Bobby S. had Travis Bickle, Philip Marlowe, Lee Marvin's Walker and...best of all...Rocky Sullivan! So that's what won me over.
(P.S. After looking over everybody else's lists on the other threads, I'd have to say Bobby S.'s list tops them all.)

KillerCannibal
1. R.J. MacReady (Kurt Russell, The Thing, 1982) Whatever.
2. Godzilla (various actors, Godzilla franchise, 1954-1995, 1999-2004) What are you smoking?
3. Harmonica (Charles Bronson, Once Upon a Time in the West, 1968) I don't know.
4. Snake Plissken (Kurt Russell, Escape From N.Y./Escape From L.A., 1981-1996) Really? Really?
5. Frank Booth (Dennis Hopper, Blue Velvet, 1986) I won't speak ill of the terminally ill, but wasn't he a wife-beater or something.
6. Seth Brundle (Jeff Goldblum, The Fly, 1986) Dude, really?
7. Buddy Revell (Richard Tyson, Three O'Clock High, 1987) What?
8. Detective Jimmy "Popeye" Doyle (Gene Hackman, The French Connection I & II, 1971-1975) I guess.
9. Black Dynamite (Michael Jai White, Black Dynamite, 2009) Oh my g- ok, whatever. Never heard of it.
10. Don Logan (Ben Kingsley, Sexy Beast, 2000) This might be a good pick, but I haven't seen it, so, you know, please stick to shit I know.
Bobby Shalom
1. Travis Bickle (Robert DeNiro, Taxi Driver, 1976) Yes, a great character.
2. Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford, Blade Runner, 1982) Very good.
3. Daniel Plainview (Daniel Day-Lewis, There Will be Blood, 2007) Superb choice.
4. Phillip Marlowe (various actors, various films, 1944-present) Blah, boring.
5. Harold Chasen (Bud Cort, Harold and Maude, 1971) Will you people please pick characters from movies I've seen? I will see this by next year, ok?
6. Tony Montana (Al Pacino, Scarface, 1983) Yes, good, I guess, if rather simplistic and a bit insulting to Cuban entrepreneurs who are mostly not drug-dealers. Oliver Stone has always had a bug up his ass about people who fled Communism. Fuck him. Let him try life as a Cuban citizen if he likes Castro so much.
7. John "Bluto" Blutarsky (John Belushi, Animal House, 1978) I don't know.
8. Walker (Lee Marvin, Point Blank, 1967) Again. Never seen it.
9. Malcolm Tucker (Peter Capaldi, In the Loop, 2009) Ok, now you're just trying to pick shit I haven't seen.
10. Rocky Sullivan (James Cagney, Angels with Dirty Faces, 1938) I saw it, don't remember much of it. Good actor, but was this character really a standout?

Buddy Revell is an inspired choice, but doesn't he get his ass handed to him at the end of that film? By his own brass knuckles?
Aside from that, I voted KC. (Godzilla!!!!!!!!1!111!)

I've only actually seen one movie featuring a character from either list. (Yes, I know...they're in my Netflix queue. I'll get to 'em.) I'll take Snake Plissken over John Plutarsky any day of the week. KillerCannibal gets my vote on this flimsy premise.

Re: DVDTalk Draft Round 1 (KillerCannibal vs Bobby Shalom)
Those are some serious gaps. Allow me to recommend what I consider the priorities, taken from both lists, in this viewing order:
ANGELS WITH DIRTY FACES (1938)
ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST (1969)
THE FRENCH CONNECTION (1971) (you can skip the sequel)
TAXI DRIVER (1976)
POINT BLANK (1967)
SCARFACE (1983) (you should see the 1932 original first)
THE THING (1982) (you should see the 1951 original first)
BLADE RUNNER (1982)
BLUE VELVET (1986)
THE FLY (1986) (you should see the 1958 original at some point, but not necessarily first)
Every GODZILLA movie, 1954-2005 (at least 23 movies)
KillerCannibal
1. R.J. MacReady (Kurt Russell, The Thing, 1982)
2. Godzilla (various actors, Godzilla franchise, 1954-1995, 1999-2004)
3. Harmonica (Charles Bronson, Once Upon a Time in the West, 1968)
4. Snake Plissken (Kurt Russell, Escape From N.Y./Escape From L.A., 1981-1996)

7. Buddy Revell (Richard Tyson, Three O'Clock High, 1987)
8. Detective Jimmy "Popeye" Doyle (Gene Hackman, The French Connection I & II, 1971-1975)
9. Black Dynamite (Michael Jai White, Black Dynamite, 2009)
10. Don Logan (Ben Kingsley, Sexy Beast, 2000)
