DVDTalk Draft Round 1 (orangecrush vs cleaver)
Hello voter! Please vote for the team of characters that you like better. It's all personal preference. If one character on the list ruins a team for you and you select the other team based on that alone, so be it (although it would be preferred that you look at the team as a whole )
We would love to hear feedback and why you chose one team over another. Feel free to comment, ask questions, criticize, etc.

Orangecrush for every pick except Miyagi and Dumbledore (who aren't bad characters, they just aren't as interesting as the rest of his list).

1. John McClane + (really only for the first movie)
2. Homer Simpson + (hard to believe this character has been around as long as he has)
3. Martin Q. Blank + (classic Cusack)
4. Roger "Verbal" Kint/Keyser Soze + (spoiler alert!)
5. Dr. Strangelove - (I would've gone with Mervin Muffley)
6. Ron Burgundy + (probably Will Ferrell's funniest performance)
7. Max Cady + (two great villainous performances)
8. Mr. Miyagi + (I'm fairly ambivalent about these movies, but this guy was cool)
9. Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore - (Gandalf Lite)
10. Sam Spade + (mostly for Bogart)
Total Pluses: 8
cleaver
1. Vito Corleone + (insprirational!)
2. The Joker + (no "The")
3. Norman Bates + (still a great character despite the fapping in the remake)
4. Han Solo + (classic Harrison Ford)
5. Robin Hood + (lots of crappy performances of this character, but Errol Flynn is still a classic)
6. Clementine Kruczynski - (generic "quirky" hipster girl, complete with colored hair)
7. Norma Desmond + (it was the draft games that got small!)
8. Holly Golightly - (hard to look past the horrific racism in this film to see the characters)
9. Navin R. Johnson + (least convincing poor black child ever)
10. Kermit the Frog - (Kermit is pretty boring, I would go with almost any other muppet)

Cleaver.. Joker is the best(or worst) villian of all time.. and i think the range on this roster is great. Don't like the clementine pick.
I also hate the Homer simpson pick.. a great character yes for the TV show.. but only 1 movie that was just so-so.. err!

Orange almost had me with Dr. Strangelove, but then lost me with Mr. Miyagi and Ron Burgandy. Groan.
The Godfather, Han Solo, and Kermit seal the deal.

Re: DVDTalk Draft Round 1 (orangecrush vs cleaver)
I am surprised I am not losing by more. The only thing I will say about the characters is that Max Cady is one of the most (if not the most) menacing villains I can remember seeing in a film.
