Hi, I just bought a Sony Wega and I was just wondering what kind of adjustments best suit this television. I am using the Video Essentials disc, but I'm not sure about what temperature it should be or whether the VM should be on or off. Any advice on what specs are best for this TV would be greatly appreciated.

I have the Wega KRV32FX60....what is VM? I turned off all digital messing about and followed the instructions on the Video Essentials disk. But the colour temparature is quite hard to get right. I found that moving the temparature control up and down helped me to find the nearest setting.

VM is velocity modulation. The instruction guide defines it as "sharpening picture definition to give objects a sharp, clean edge". You can choose high, low, or off. For now I use VM on low when watching regular tv, and off when using DVD because DVD doesn't really need to be any sharper.

Yeah you are right to set the VM to low. On my TV I have a sharpness control which is basically a slider. I have it set very low. Video Essentials recommends that it be set very low or off. I have found that some TV's look too blurry when the sharpness is turned off completely.
