If you could be any character
My co-worker presented this question to me today: If you could choose to live the full life of any movie character, which would it be?
He argued that James Bond and James T. Kirk were the ultimate answers. Both live adventurous lives, mostly by their own rules, go globe (or galaxy) trotting, and get more tail than they know what to do with.
I threw back that Tony Stark would also be a viable choice. Super rich, a mechanical genius, also more tail than he knows what to do with, oh, and he's also Iron Man. Yes, he gets stuck in a terrorist camp for a while, but without it, he wouldn't have become Iron Man.
If you could live the life of any character, who would it be and why?

The first answer to pop into my head was Indiana Jones. Though I'm sure his life does get a bit boring when he's not traveling the globe and is stuck in a stuffy college classroom.
Sticking with Harrison Ford, Han Solo seemed to have a pretty exciting life. I could be my own boss, have exciting adventures, get the girl, AND save the day!

John Murdoch from Dark City. Basically a God and ruler of my own world. I can create cities and move buildings without lifting a finger. And women? Forget about it, I can put any of them to sleep and nail that ass. Or I can create my own woman to my own liking.

I'm interested in this thread, but I'm not about to tip my hand from the movie character draft. Nice try, Suprmallet!
Let me just say that, of the characters with whom I am comfortable discussing, Count Dracula interests me a lot. He has resources, and he scores high on the "supernatural bonuses" scale. Granted, he lives under some unique physiological restraints, but having Crohn's disease, I'm already used to being my body's bitch. Plus, I hate mornings and morning people--his schedule works for me.

Tell your teacher that James T. Kirk is a TV character, who happened to appear in some movies.
Indiana Jones was also the first to pop into my mind, but after giving it some thought, I suppose it would be cool to be Nick Curran from Basic Instinct. You know, assuming he doesn't actually get the ice pick at the end of the film.

Asia the Invincible, from SWORDSMAN III: THE EAST IS RED. She flies, she's a kung fu master, she thrusts her arms out and sends dudes' hearts flying out of their backs, and, most important, she's got gorgeous Joey Wong pining for her:

ehhhh..I dunno. He's got pretty tough. I'd rather be Dutch from Predator or Barney "The Schizo" Ross from The Expendables. Seems like they had it much easier than Rambo AND still get to shoot guns like crazy
....you want to be a woman? I'm amazed you didn't want to be Sam from Transformers. What with him banging Mikaela all the time...though I'm not sure if the new girl is Mikaela or a new character. So....yeah

After some thought, I just can't think of a better one than Bond
