The X-Files 1-9 - Thinpak versions
Hi everyone!
I'm a French newbie here and I wanted to know where I could purchase the (new new) new repackaged thinpak releases of The X-Files 1-9.
I discovered a few store but the sets were (really) overpriced and/or they can't ship to France. Even Amazon do not sell them
Here are some pics of one these thinpak releases:

Thanks in advance ^^!
This is a repost, this was first posted in the wrong forum. Sorry.

They re-released the smaller Thinpak versions into even smaller, single-width DVD cases that hold 6 discs. That is why you can't find them. I don't have any photographs, but I'm sure someone does.

Re: The X-Files 1-9 - Thinpak versions
It's really just going to depend on the retailer as the UPC for the thinpaks (six DVDs in three thin keepcases) and the newer Viva style (six DVDs in one standard-width keepcase) is the same.
That's why most retailers still have the thinpak name in the product description.
Since it's only been about nine months since Fox started switching seasons to these new cases, there's still going to be an element of chance as to which version of any particular season you might get, as they may still have old stock (thinpak) that has yet to be replaced with new stock (Viva).

Ugh, you're killing me! Unfortunately there is no Walmart in France
// I already own 4 collector's editions but I need space as well ^^ //

I'm not up to date on the "new new" versions of the thinpaks, but I know that the first few seasons of the original thinpak releases omitted the special features from the last disc. I'm not sure if that is something that is important to you or not.

I wish there was no Walmart in the U.S.

All the seventh discs of the first box sets contains an episode (which was moved onto the sixth disc), a documentary about the season (a bit redundant if you've just watched the season though), some internation scenes and the promos aired on Fox.
But I might choose to purchase the french boxset instead.

Yes they did: they moved the episode(s) that was/were on the seventh disc onto the sixth disc. But I think they drop some features like the documentary on the season, the Fox promos and the international scenes.

Not to get off topic but does anyone know where to get scans of the new cases covers? I have the old brick sized ones and would love to convert all 9 into the width of 3!

I wish I had all Collector's Sets but alas, only 3 (Seasons 4, 5 & 7). The rest are Thinpaks but not the new new thin thinpaks. I'm glad I have the space, I don't think I'd want those ultra thinpak sets, too many disks crammed together in too tight a space, probably cut all the special features out too.
The new Farscape (Complete Series) is the only one like that I have, wish I could've found the individual seasons for a decent price, but this'll have to do. -kd5-
