Harris Teeter PVDs
If you have a Harris Teeter grocery store, you may want to check near the DIY checkout aisle. They had a huge crate of PVDs. Interesting pricing too. $3.99 each, but they had 4 packs bundled together for $6.99.
Also had Dead Zone, S5 (looked like that was new) for $6.99 - 3 disc set.
Just the last place I would expect to see this kind of stuff.

Re: Harris Teeter PVDs
This sounds like similar assortment bins that show up at other grocery stores like Krogers, Safeway and Shaws.

Re: Harris Teeter PVDs
just got back from my local Harris Teeter!
They had TWO HUGE racks.
the first one was like the big lots floor rack - neatly layed out in a box.
The other was a barrel - walmart style. very deep.
4/$10. All PVD from hollywood video.
HUGE selection.
Not sure if anybody has a H/T by them, but if you do and you haven't shopped there in a while, it might be worth checking them out..
of course, this could be ymmv, but thought I would share.
Spending 20 minutes sifting through barrells of DVDs was not what I expected going to buy some groceries!

It's hard to believe, but gratifying in a way, that in this rapidly shrinking world of rampant conglomeration there are still regional retail outlets.

Re: Harris Teeter PVDs
Thought I'd bump this thread up because I've been to several Harris Teeters in my area that have the Hollywood Video/Movie Gallery PVDs priced at 10 for $10. One store must've had 500-600 DVDs. Some of the discs or cases are fairly beat up, but nothing that should make any of them unplayable.
Here's what I've gotten so far:
Angel of Death (Zoe Bell)
Darjeeling Limited
Choke
Gonzo
Hamlet 2
Hot Rod
House of Wax
How To Eat Fried Worms
Informers
Matador
Midnight Meat Train
A Mighty Wind
Mr. Bean's Holiday
Mutant Chronicles
Powder Blue
Rocket Science
Simon Says ("starring" Blake Lively who is in the movie for about 12 seconds at the very end and has nothing to do with anything)
Sunshine
Vinyan
