Toshiba SD1200 humming noise?

Playing Enemy of the State and Lethal Weapon 4 today and it hummed for about 5 minutes each time. I've had the player for about 3 weeks now and this is the first time it has ever done it.
Are the discs uneven or what?

It was the PLAYER that was humming right?
Maybe its just when the disc starts to load and sets up the menu. Kinda like a CD-Rom drive, if you play mp3s from a CDR, it hums at first to temporarily store the mp3 on the hard drive, then stops humming.
