According to Joystiq, the game has 4 different versions of Spider-Man, 2 of them revealed in the trailer above (Classic Spidey, Spider-Man Noir). To me, the game seems similar to Batman: Arkham Asylum, although I really doubt that it's going to be as violent or dark. Still, it seems the best Spider-Man solo game to date.

Looks like it could be fun. I'm probably in the minority on this but even though I didn't care much for Spider-Man 3 the movie I actually sort of enjoyed the video game adaptation.

Spider-Man: Web of Shadows was fun, but way too tedious to play more than once for the alternate storyline.

Yep. The only thing that ruined WOS for me was the horrific glitching and slow down later in the game. Had it not been for that i would still have it and would still be playing it.

Anyway, I like the seemingly Multiverse approach of this new game and it looks cool.

I actually did enjoy Spider-Man 3 (the game), although I wouldn't call it a great title by any means. This could be fun, but I'll wait for reviews.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Spider-Man 2099 and Spider-Girl from the M2 universe. I would prefer Spider-Ham, The Scarlet Spider or the 1402 Spider-Man.

I'm really surprised to see Spidey Noir represented in a videogame, but it does look pretty neat. I'm with those that say 2099 is going to be one of the other worlds.

And now I will out-nerd you: my favorite variant costume (i.e. not the classic red and blues and not the black costume) is the "Die Spinne" costume from Spider-Man vs. Wolverine.

That video gets my hopes up a little. It would be so awesome if we got a Batman Arkham Asylum quality title with Spidey.

2099 Spidey looks pretty bad ass.

For all the Activision hate, this and Transformers both look like they have potential.

I thought that was a pretty cool header too, so I clicked on it to see if it gave me any more info but not surprisingly it took me back to the main page, where I scroleld down and ZOMG THIEF 4 !!!1!!!!1!one!

(I'm sure I knew that was coming -- wikipedia says it was announced over a year ago -- but good to have confirmation that it's alive and kicking).
