DVD Talk review of Howards End (Criterion Collection)
Just read the review for Howards End and was struck by this statement, "the Criterion Collection has re-issued Howards End, improving upon the previous DVD on the Home Vision brand, with updated bonus content."
Now, I may be missing something but, outside of a spine number, the only difference in content I can find is a 12 minute interview with James Ivory on his relationship with Ismail Merchant. I sort of expected to see somewhere in the review an upgrade reccommendation for those with the previous Home Vision release, particularly when one considers that this is being hailed as a DVD Talk Collectors Series. I'm just having trouble believing those 12 minutes are enough to push this over the edge from the Highly Recommended rating that the Home Vision set got. Can somebody help me out here and tell me what I'm missing?
