Road to Hell (Streets of Fire 2)

I haven't heard of this. Its a sequel to (1984) Streets of Fire with Michael Paré.
Do they really need to make a part 2?
Here is the poster:

Looks like they like Sin City a bit. On that topic: we need Sin City 2.

If you like guilty pleasure 80s movies or something in the same style of Hill's The Warriors, yes. As a movie in and of itself, pretty cheesy.

It's a pretty goofy movie, but I really like it. Plus, it has a hot, young Diane Lane.

The atmosphere is great but it really would have benefited from a harder edge; it's PG 80's cheese fare.

This one has been finished on the shelf for a few years now and the director's most notable prior efforts were "Ticker" a true trainwreck of a movie and the "Captain America" movie that has only seen the light of day in America through HULU.

Albert Pyun did the old Captain America movie? I saw that on TV. I thought the only film of his I'd seen was Mean Guns.

Re: Road to Hell (Streets of Fire 2?)

"Streets of Fire" is one of those curiously awful movies. It's bloody awful, no question, but stylishly awful. It DOES feature the aforementioned young nubile Diane Lane, and a great sadistic performance by Willem Dafoe. Plus Rick Moranis as a twerpy nerd and Amy Madigan is a creepy bulldyke sidekick. OH and the brunette sister from "Too Close For Comfort". I think she looked hotter than Diane Lane, but that's me. Kinda Mila Kunis-esque. I can't remember the plot to save my life. Something about a kidnapping? There goes my face to

Re: Road to Hell (Streets of Fire 2?)

The brunette sister also had a role in the aforementioned Mean Guns as a bystander in the "game." That movie was a pretty cool idea but the weak character developement and lack of bulletholes/squibs increased the cheese factor to "awful."

Re: Road to Hell (Streets of Fire 2?)

So... I was looking at some stuff about Streets of Fire and saw that this "sequel" was getting made. I then found this trailer and website. This looks pathetic. The entire thing looks to have been shot in front of a green screen.
