What are the worst Theatrical/DTV films you have ever seen? Number 1 if applies!

Mommie Dearest (razzie winner of '81) and Showgirls (a complete mess) would have been mentioned, by many critics, 15-29 years ago! However, they they've become campy cult classics! They are both high camp and entertaining, but stink from a technical standpoint and their purpose! Even Mommie Dearest has won awards since '81 -- including AFI awards. I think highly of Mommie Dearest due to its two leads (Joan/kid Christina who are both fairly good).

---------------------------------------

Here are some of the worst theatrical films I have seen (but there are many more):

Don't Go in the Woods...Alone '80 (Scary indeed...)
Aerobicide '86
Graduation Day '84
Porky's 2: The Next Day '83
Saturday the 14th '81
New Year's Evil '81
Trick or Treat '86
Flowers in the Attic '87
The Last Slumber Party '88
Student Bodies '81
The Gate 2: Trespassers '91
King Ralph '91
Pee Wee's Big Top '88
Caddyshack 2 '88
Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot '91
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3 '93
Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie '97 (the film that made Amy Jo Johnson -- the original pink ranger -- hate her life! She's wanted nothing to do with any of this since and said she was embarrassed by the pink ranger role on VH1 -- love the 90's. However, evil Jason and evil Kim were kind of hot for their 5 minutes of screentime; nice trying to bring back two characters from Season 1/early season 2 when it was most popular with its original cast, but that's about all it had.)
Power Rangers: The Movie '95 (Roger Ebert vehemently hating this film is something I will never forget... I'm not a hater, I enjoyed some of the shows episodes with the original cast -- Jason, who quit long before this movie, was cool and enjoyable!)
Super Mario Bros. 93
The Final Destination '09
Superman 4 '87
Night of the Demons 3 '97
Exorcist 2 '77
Legally Blond 2 '03
The Three Stooges in Orbit '66 (and I loved the original Curly 30's/40's shorts as a kid)
Tyler Perry movies '02-present (all of them)
Stan Helsing '09
Gothika '03
The Honeymooners '05
Fear dot com '02
Hills Have Eyes 2 '07
Prom Night '08
Scary Movie 4 '06
Epic Movie '07
Hatchet '07 (terrible over-rated movie pumped up by everyone in the horror field for advertising bucks. It bombed horrendously anyhow and was a well deserved bomb.)
Halloween Resurrection '02
Halloween 6 (Theatrical Cut) '95
Halloween 2 (Rob Zombie) '09
Freddy's Dead '91
Seed of Chucky '04
The Fog '05
Valentine '01
Freddy vs. Jason '03
It's Pat '94 (along with the majority of SNL feature films)
The Ring 2 '05
Munster Go Home '66
Blair Witch 2 '00
Urban Legends 2 '00
Saw 3-5 '06-'08
I Still Know What You Did Last Summer '98
Waterboy '98
Shriek If You Know What I Did Last Friday the Thirteenth '00
3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain '98
3 Ninjas Knuckle Up '95
3 Ninjas Kick Back '94
Speed 2: Cruise Control '97
Bio-Dome '96

-------------------------------------------------------------

Here are some of the worst DTV/TV films I have seen (yet again, many more):

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation 2: Cousin Eddie's Island Adventure (or whatever it's called) '03! One of the worst downgrades ever from a direct classic predecessor!
The Hogan Family: Paris Vacation '89 (Jason Bateman with a princess love interest? uh huh!)
Degrassi Goes Hollywood '09
S.I.C.K. The Serial Insane Clown Killer '03
Carrie '02 (atrocious re-do with horrible computer generated graphics and bad acting; an insult to the classic '76 award winner)
The Item '99
Wrong Turn 3 '09
Children of the Corn '09
Silent Night Deadly Night 4 '90
Silent Night Deadly Night 5 '91
Wishmaster 3 '01
Wishmaster 4 '02
Killjoy '00
Killjoy 2 '02
American Pie 7: Book of Love '09 (plus most of the others)
American Ninja 5 '93
Sleepaway Camp 4: The Survivor '92
Return to House on Haunted Hill '07
The Munsters Revenge '81
Rescue from Gilligan's Island '79
85% of the Full Moon Lineup (including Demonic Toys 2, Retro Puppetmaster, Puppet Master vs. the Demonic Toys, and other garbage)
Halloween with the Addams Family '77 (this was meant to revive the classic 60's show with the original cast, but bombed out horribly with the public)
Fangoria Presents Films
Return to Sleepaway Camp '03/'08
The vast majority of Troma films
Here come the Munsters '95
April Fools Day '08
Night of the Living Dead '06
Munsters Scary Little Christmas '96
Addams Family 3 (Addams Family Reunion) '98
Cheerleader Massacre '03
Leprechaun 4/5/6 '96-'03
Hellraiser: Hellworld '05
Hellraiser: Deader '05

Re: What are the worst Theatrical/DTV films you have ever seen? Number 1 if applies!

I've seen four movies I'd consider "terrible" in the theater: Super Mario Bros. and Street Fighter, and both Transformers movies.

I try very hard to not see things in the theater I don't think I'll like. Only failed four solid times at this after 18+ years of regular movie going.

I can't imagine seeing as many bad movies in the theater as you've listed. You've mentioned movies like It's Pat and Aerobicide. Why would you go to see those? Didn't you already know they would be awful? What on earth were you expecting?

I used to get paid to do it!

So, you take all the crap you can get...

Plus you never know... I've discovered movies so bad they were good! Only a good 5%-10% rate of that, but it happens.

No that isn't what she said. She said she was embarrassed by the attention she had gotten (they showed clips of other commenters bringing up how hot she was) not that she wanted nothing to do with it. If that were true she wouldn't have been in the movie. The whole reason she was even in the movie because she wanted to show her gratitude.

The only movie I've ever walked out of was Teaching Miss Tingle, so I suppose that must be the worst movie I've ever seen. This was 10 years ago so I barely remember much about the movie. I just recall getting angry at how stupid all the main characters were and resented that the film wanted me to sympathize with them so I got up and left.

I guess "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer" would probably be on my list, but so is "Mortal Kombat: Annihilation". Both of which I saw in theater.

I still believe "I Still Know" takes place during the same year that the (main) events of the first movie take place. If true, then its the stupidest thing my eyeballs have ever been subjected to, and makes the first movie look like an Oscar nomination explosion.

Might as well just list every movie ever made here.

Worst movie I've seen in a long time was "A Slipping Down Life". If you've never heard of it, consider yourself lucky. It's about this white-trash chick who's madly in love with a rock musician (who has a stupid name) and he doesn't give a fuck about her.

Re: What are the worst Theatrical/DTV films you have ever seen? Number 1 if applies!

I went to the movies a lot in the late 90s / early 00s and all I can remember is how awful The One, Highlander: End Game and Hollowman were. I also really disliked Tears of the Sun and Windtalkers. But the two absolute worst? Probably Van Helsing and Attack of the Clones.

I usually skip STV fare -- the last couple I've seen (Triangle, Trick r Treat) aren't "true" STV flicks.

Wing Commander

I left about midway through to hang out in the lobby for 20 minutes to kill time. I would have left, but I rode with friends.

Street Fighter works well as a comedy due to its intentional scenes of humor. Particularly any line uttered by Raul Julia.

Battlefield Earth is top of my list. My wife (then my g/f) slept through half of it, and I envied her. What a mess.

Wing Commander, I saw on video back in the day with my friends. It was sooooo bad it was funny. At one point I swear an alien is a cardboard cutout.

Seriously, the games had higher production values than the movie.

The most hilarious part of that movie is when Blair shoots two Kilrathi in a row and they repeat a shot of what looks like a mannequin tipping over and pass it off as the two separate kills. I don't think they even bothered flopping the shot to at least hide that it was repeated.

The only movie I have ever walked out of in the theater was "Sweet November".

Another one that jumps out at me is "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen". Every time I see it in stores, I think that the premise sounds great, and it could have been an awesome movie. Emphasis on "could".

Although totally different than the comic book, I thought The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen was a great late 19th century steampunk action flick.
