Corrupted save files on ps3 system.
I was playing the ps3 game "Batman Arkham Asylum" and i had to quit so i saved my spot. I didnt play it again for a few hours and when i tried the beginning of the game didnt show that i have any of the game saved, so i checked the system and i found the file for the game, but it was now saying it was corrupted. All of my other saves for other games were fine, but that on. thats never happened before for any other game i have saved.
how does a game's save file get corrupted? can it be fixed?

Dunno, were you playing during the Apocalyps3 (Feb 28- March 1)? If you mangaged to get on before your system clock rolled over, and then you saved after it did, then that's probably why your file is corrupted, because it has an invalid date on it.

Re: Corrupted save files on ps3 system.
I doubt it's recoverable. Usually, that sort of thing only happens if the save file doesn't finish writing before the system is shut down...but as OWJ suggested, it could be related to the date glitch.
I'm planning to start this game again soon, since it's one of the saves I lost when my 60GB croaked.
