Movies that end abruptly?

There are some movies that end abruptly to leave the viewer left to ponder what happens next. Sometimes, I think it works amazingly and sometimes, not so much.

I recently saw "A Serious Man", which got me thinking about this question. I thought it was interesting, didin't hate it, but may think it was too Cohen-ish. Think they may have over done their usual bizarre nature to story-telling. And that ending, i just think was way to abrupt. I know what they were going for and can surmise what happens next, but just think it was too much, or not enough, if you knwo what i mean.

So, for the life of me, I know there are so many, but can't think of all the good and not so good.

So what are some movies (that you've enjoyed and not liked so much) that just ended very abruptly?

Re: Movies that end abruptly?

A lot of Kubrick movies tend to end without warning.

Full Metal Jacket seems like it might be segueing into another scene before you see the credits.

2001 ends immediately after the shot of the starchild.

One of the biggest losses in film history that the two sequels never happened.

The one that comes to mind for me here is "Two Lane Blacktop." Celluloid burnup at the drag race at the end. Cool movie.

Re: Movies that end abruptly?

I remember when I was in my kung fu phase, I must have encountered a few dozen kung fu movies that ended on a freeze frame of someone delivering the killing blow. I went through my notes and here are titles I found where I'd noted the freeze or abrupt endings:

THE LEGENDARY STRIKE
SNAKE DEADLY ACT
A FIST FULL OF TALONS
SHAOLIN RESCUERS
MYSTERIOUS HEROES (aka WU TANG SWORDSMAN)
KID WITH THE GOLDEN ARM
