I have seen the first 5 seasons via streaming on Netflix. I am debating on buying the season sets or are they going to do some complete series set once the final episode airs?

It was stated that they planned on releasing a Complete Series set on Blu-Ray, generating interest as it would possibly be the first multi-season Complete Series set on Blu (though it turned out that Battlestar Galactica beat it to the punch). I would imagine that it would get a complete set on standard as well.

I have no inside info, but I'm guessing there is a 100% chance they will release a complete series set.

I suspect that the complete sixth season DVD and BR will be available sometime during the late summer, then a complete series set will roll around just in time for Christmas. Though they might wait until next year to release the complete series set in order to give seasons 1-6 enough time to pick up a few more sales.

What I'd really like to see are some new special features with the WHOLE series in mind, where they talk about developing certain storylines, how things changed, what their plans were for characters whose actors were fired or quit. I'd also like to see some new commentary tracks on old episodes, where they can discuss the early episodes with the whole series in mind.

I had been holding out on buying the individual seasons for this reason, but I jumped on the Amazon deal a short while back and picked up seasons 1 - 5 for around $17 a piece I think (don't remember off the top of my head). So now the question for me will be.... when the complete series set is released, do I upgrade? Guess it depends on what, if any, special features the complete series offers and how much trade-in value I could find for my individual seasons.

Now I'm on the fence about purchasing seasons 3-6 on blu-ray separate (mostly because of there attractive $35 sale that pops up from time to time), or pay a little extra for the complete series...

They should design the box to be like a hatch that opens.

The discs will continually rearrange themselves so you can't watch the episodes in air-date order

Ironically, if you do watch them in the intended order, you will be just as confused.
