I've released my second game on XBLIG (The xbox's indie program). It's called You Will Die and its a bullet hell shootem up where them enemy grows larger and more powerful after each level.

Online its at http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/ga...of=0&bt=0&sb=1 and of course in the 360 its in the Indie section. It's 80 pts.

I remember when you first posted about this, and I planed on getting it. You said this is the second game you have released on XBL, what was your first?

oh, I found it Revenge of the Ball...how well did that do for you? I have always wondered how XBLIG games did for developers, because I heard that they were slow giving you guys your money.

Subtracting XNA member costs and price of background art, I made about $14 on Revenge of the Ball.
I figured a while back that I aint getting rich from XBLIG. Instead, I look at it as a way to make/play the games I always wanted to when I was a kid. And with RoTB and now with You Will Die, I'm doing just that.

I'm really proud of how the game turned out and thats mostly thanks to the people who wdid such a great job on the art and sound.

Just curious, is this a side hobby and your main job is unrelated to video game development or are you looking to use this as a springboard into a full time gig? I'll be sure to buy a copy since I mostly just play XBLA games these days (damn disc drive takes forever to get working)

It's a hobby. But gaming is one of those hobbies that finds a way to take over. I also host a daily gaming podcast (Dead Pixel Live). My brother is a big time game progammer but my main paycheck comes from being the IT guy at a catering company.

But if someone wants to offer me a job as a designer, I wont turn down the interview.

As far as your game, Derrich, I just bought it sight unseen since you're a member here and if I recall the trailer looked cool. Besides, IT'S ONLY A FREAKIN DOLLAR!!!

Looking forward to checking it out tonight, though I suck miserably at those sorts of games.

I'd encourage anyone who tries the game or demo and likes it to give a good rating to the game. Often times the only way to get an Indie game noticed is if it shows up on the Highly Rated blade, so lots of good scores from us will only help!

Well, I tried the game out yesterday. Damn it's hard to last past four rounds. Then again, I played like 8 times before I realized I had a shield to activate and could repair my ship.
