Going to pick up The Simpsons: Season 20 somewhere (will wait to see prices from Target, etc.) and Vampire Weekend's new CD.

Thanks for sharing. I've been waiting for a price drop on Saboteur (Xbox 360) since the reviews didn't make it sound worth $59.99. Hopefully Amazon will match these!

Normally I swarm to the store to get each Simpsons season on release but after watching prices drop rapidly (within 6 weeks?) on the last release I might wait this one out. Thanks OP!

And a whopping minimum of 2 per store too! I'm going to try to get it, but I'm not counting on it.

It might not work. The BB exclusive has a different bar code than the regular edition.

I don't imagine anyone would have much trouble getting them to adjust the price on it.

I can't speak for the DVD version (as I never compared the two), but the BD version of their exclusive edition of Lost: Season 5 had the same UPC as the regular edition....

Re: Best Buy Ad - 01/10 - 01/16/2010

What a price drop on LOST....... that's crazy. Normally it would be frustrating (well it still is) but because LOST came out during Bestbuy's extended holiday return policy (1/31/10 you have until) everyone who still has their receipt can bring it in and get a price adjustment so really its like a bonus $18 or so, whatever the difference is.

Still $20 a season, I haven't gotten any of the seasons for that price. I have got to stop buying TV for more than $20 a season (really LOST is the only 1 I do anymore). Must remember this next year when Season 6 comes out.............must remember.

I feel the same way. It just doesn't pay to get it immediately. Even with all the coupons and the like, you can always count on DVD sets being sold at cost the time the holidays roll around. I might just save my money the whole year and splurge at the end of the season.

Wow! $19.99 for Lost Season 5. Luckily I still have my receipt from when I bought it the week it came out to get a price adjustment.

Still sticking to my 2010 resolution of no TV on DVD purchases unless they are $20 or less.

My guess is by the end of the year you'll still be able to get everything you wanted for the less than $20 with the exception of anything that maybe comes out in December (you might have to wait until Jan. 2011).

Good resolution! It's the same one I adopted in 2009. The only TV set I paid more than $20 was BSG.

Re: Best Buy Ad - 01/10 - 01/16/2010

BD prices are so unappealing for new releases still.

$26.99 for Post Grad? A mediocre film at best, but wanted to pick it up because I like Alexis and Ebert wrote that it was decent.

But not for that price. Will hope this is a title that drops quickly, maybe even like Sunshine Cleaning did.
